My 2008 4 Runner was already equipped with Weathertech floor mats, but I needed a solid, waterproof catch-all for the back. As Weathertech products are the only advanced-grade mats I've ever used, I can't compare them against the competition. However, I can say that they are very serviceable, blending a reasonable amount of weight vs durability -- though I wish they had made the material just a bit heavier, hence the 4 stars (as I am hard on the cargo area of my vehicle, loading it with dogs, ice-covered snowshoes, etc.). One good thing about the weight is it's ease of removability for cleaning and for when I sleep in the back at trail heads (I slide it under the truck) and for hosing off. It has a surrounding lip that catches melting water nicely. Recommended, especially over the cheap versions I've seen in car parts stores.
