5Awesome discman! But no screen on it, bundled headphones suck and you MUST buy a carrying case.
By Daniel Josephy H.
This is a great discman, I actually prefer it over the CT-710, wihch I had but got broken (due to lack of care I guess). This one has more advantages than the 710, most notable is that it has 2 more sound modes (3D-1, 3D-2), which the 710 does not have. The latter is nicer in many ways, for example, the buttons in the discman light up, but those are minor details that are not really relevant. As with the 710, this discman has two major problems:- It does not have a screen in the discman itself (although that's why the remote is for obviously).- It is perhaps TOO small, meaning that if you drop it a few times it'll go KAPUTT. So you MUST buy a carrying case, I didn't buy one for my 710 (something I deeply regret) and it didn't last more than a year! So it'd be better to do a small inversion in one than having to buy another discaman in the near future.- Another problem is the bundled headphones, which are terribly designed but have great sound. The poroblem is that the left cord is MUCH shorter than the right one, so you'll have some trouble in that sense.Well, the good things are that it is a lovely discman, it comes with rechargable batteries (which last A LOT), so no worries about having to buy some, yet if you want to it comes with a "tube" in wich ye insert some regular AA batteries and you attach it to the discman and the battry will last MUCH longer (like 40h+). I also like the fact that you can easily hide it, so there are less chances of getting mugged, though people can still see the remote obviously. About that, it is really awesome and easy to work with, just fiddle around with it and you'll understand how to use it in no time (oh and it's backlit).Overall, you won't regret buying this at all.

5Amazing sound, Battery last you more than 45 hours, great CD player except poor earphone
By Intel_ Mac
This CD player provide you amazing clear sound. They uses D-Sound technology which probably even better than the most of Sony's CD players. It is very light, and easy to carry around. Moreover, this CD player is manufactored in Osaka, Japan. However, there are three minor problems with this CD player:1)The earphone is really bad. If you use UE, Shure or Westone earphone on this CD player, the sound is just unbelievable. I would recommanded to use dynamic In-Ear for this CD player. If you use Sony or Bose headphone, then you will need to buy a headphone amp, otherwise, the sound probably will not be as good as what it suppose to produce.2)This CD player doesn't provide optical output. However, I dont think it is a big issue to most of the users, since not many people using optical I/O in United States.3)The battery is very expensive to replace, but it definitely last longer. I believe it will last more than 45 hours for continuous CD playing. So, it is worth it.The CD player provides a high quality sound . CT-720 is a great choice, unless there is way to order CT-820 or CT830, which these two advanced models are only selling in Japan.

4A better sounding cd/mp3 player
By T. Chan
I ordered this cd player because of its low profile and light weight since I plan to use it on my frequent plane trips. The sound quality of this player, when used with the supplied earbuds, is acceptible. If a decent noise-cancelling over-ear headphone is used, such as the Bose or the Sony, then the sound is comparable to a good stereo. I noticed a faint buzz (higher than the typical 60 Hz hum) when the noise cancelling circuitery is turned on. May be there is a component in the player than picked up noise from near by electrical sources. Otherwise a very good cd player from Panasonic that is still built in Osaka, Japan.
