This is a good computer case. I purchased it two months ago for my new laptop. The only problem is the metal rivets on the inside that hold the expandable snaps in the rear of the case. The rear of my laptop is all scratched up, the air intake vents are damaged, and the audio out and mic in jacks are scratched. If you buy this case, be prepared to go to a craft store, and buy a piece of foam to line the back and sides of the case, so your laptop does not get scratched. The case does come with a removable soft laptop cover, which would protect it from these snaps, if you don't mind the extra trouble of unwrapping your laptop when you want it. Another problem is compression. I've found that the top cover of my laptop is cracked from being compressed when you close the case...this will happen whether or not you use the soft laptop cover. It may be that my laptop model is susceptable to this, but you will want to make sure you have plenty of room in the case when you close it on your computer.

I may have used this case considerably in the 4 months I had it, but the clasps that close and lock the briefcase both broke. One after about 4 months of ussage and the second clasp broke only a month later. Now it won't shut so it's pretty much rendered useless. The reason I wrote this review is because I'm currently shopping online for another briefcase. Hopefully one that will last a couple of years at least. I would say the first clasp might have been defective at first, but both broke so I would say it's more like a product defect.

This is a very nice briefcase, with great storage space. The only problem I have had with it is the latches. When closing the case, they don't always go in the holes. It's not a huge problem, but creates a little minor inconvenience.
