I've been playing guitar for more then 20 years and have quite a few in my collection.I find JS141 to be quite useful and play it a lot. It is mostly suited for travel and learningnew songs in the computer chair.Spruce top gives it nice high tones and mahogany body warms out the middle. Intonation is spotlessand action can be adjusted!It obviously cannot match sustain and volume of a full bodied guitar, but the way I use it it's actuallya good thing. It also will be helpful if you just starting and don't want your family to strangle you.There are other 1/4 guitars out there, but for this price almost nothing can touch JS141 in quality.

Purchased this 1/4 size guitar as a Christmas present for my little boy. I am quite impressed with the fit and finish. Tone quality is perfectly acceptable for the body size and purpose. For the price, the Jasmine is the perfect choice for youngsters exploring music for the first time, who will outgrow the guitar within a year or so. You can pay twice the amount, but you will not get twice the value. You can be confident in your purchase of this little guitar.

Good sound, all frets are playable, could use tighter strings and $99 price tag to better stand against low grade competitors.. but you get what you paid for.
