I love my Corelle.

After having my last set of Corelle for over 10 years, I decided to get another set. The selections in the stores were pale and colorless. I wanted something "spicy" to match my Purple walls and grape motif. I looked for a while and when I googled Corelle, it directed me to Amazon.com. The Tuscan Vine pattern is exactly what my kitchen wanted! I love it. It arrived promptly and the cost was less than in the store even with the shipping and handling. I read the reviews that said that the cups were not made of Corelle, but of Stonewear which is not unbreakable. I still wanted the set and determined to be careful with the cups. The dishes are bright and colorful and the bowls are large. I love the set and am happy to have found it. Thanks you Amazon.com.

Unexpected surprises

When I ordered these it was to add to a set I have had for several years. Originally it was plate, bowl, luncheon plate, and mug. When I received this shipment was pleasantly surprised by the "soup" bowl....it makes a great "salad bowl" especially for people on a diet! And the cup and saucer I figured I would never use, however, have used the cup for hot olive oil for dipping bread, and the saucer looks more like a small bread and butter plate, no indention for the cup, just molded so the cup stays in place.

Fantastic and heavy!

This is not a thin silver (i.e. cheaply made) ring. The price is SO good that I thought it would be really thin and cheap looking. I hesitated about buying it, but I'm so glad I did. The silver is thick and heavy, and the iron cross is large and masculine. It comes in really large, hard-to-find sizes for those larger guys...which is fantastic. For the price, you just can't beat it. It was an easy, no-brainer birthday gift to get my husband!

Pump down the volume

This product has some features that attract the attention of my fourth child who is nearly five months old. Flashing lights, spinning balls, and a popping cylinder do keep children interested. However, the volume seems to have two options: loud and dang that's really loud! Granted, the product is meant to promote stimulation for the young mind, and studies suggest that infants respond best to sound. But the volume on this product is far too loud for an adult who is standing five feet above it. Imagine lying beneath a small cacophonic carnival and not knowing how to plug one's ears! The manufacturer needs to modify the volume control or provide ear plugs.

Fun for 3 of my young children

I bought this for my 8 week old to enjoy and she does she bats at the toys watches herself in the mirror and coos to the music. sometimes its a little overstimulating for her and the only part i have problems with is when she kicks her legs she hits the green foot bar wich causes her to push the toy away. but this could be fixed by placeing it against a wall or holding it. the best part is that my 3 year old and 2 year old enjoy this toy as well and its sturdy so i dont have to worry about them breaking it. i also found it easy to asemble had it together in 5 minutes.

Returning to the store this weekend

I am returning this toy to this store for two reasons. First, there is no way to adjust the volume on it and it is deafening. One song in particular (I believe it is Yankee Doodle) is louder than all the others and, when it came on, my son jumped and started bawling. (I have never seen any toy make him cry...) The speaker is on the front of the activity board and, when using it in a seated postion, it is right at ear level. Second, I had hoped my son could use this in the kicking position (he loves to kick), but that was a no go. He is six months old and 27 inches long. When I laid him in position so he could kick the "kick plate", his upper body was too far back to reach the activity board no matter how I adjusted it. It's too bad. With a few minor adjustments, this could have been a great toy.

Gain weight with health

I am currently a recovering cancer patient and I have to still feed myself through a tube to my stomach. There are other diet supplements but this one carries the most calories per can by far and if you are trying to gain or keep weight on this is great stuff.

I am a construction teacher. I am 67 years old and have used the Vaughn Blue Max for years. I tought there was nothing better for framing until I treated myself to the Stiletto 16oz milled face hammer. This has to be the best framer on the market for those of us that have aged a little. Those young guys still may like a heavy hammer but for me this is the best.

Healthy, but...!

I'm "REALLY!" in to a healthier lifestyle, and subscribe to "several" respected health e-zines.1. 15+ years ago I read tests that charcoal BBQ's, really put "LOTS" of very bad carciniogens into your meat!2. So I went to a gas BBQ. Not as good tasting as charcoal, but "SUPPOSEDLY" healthier?NOT!- Now I read tests that gas BBQ's are little healthier than charcoal. The "deadly" carciniogens are in the drippings smoke- coming from the hot lava rocks below!3. So I now go to the MECO electric grill.Pros-a. Healthier- as virtually no smoke (grill/elements are steeply slanted, and drippings collect in a handy pan under the grill).b. No having to mess with expensive propane gas...c. Well made, and sturdy.d. Low fire danger- Acceptable for most apartment complexes. ASK!e. Sears steaks well (preheat on high for 15+ min, and close lid FAST! Requires a "Heavy Duty" electric outlet!). Cooks just as fast (or faster) than gas. BUT, "NO!" BBQ taste! You will probably need a marinade...Good "web search" recipe I found for steaks...-I pre-mix & rub in, a blend of-salt ("AlsoSalt"- is very healthy and GOOD tasting!), black pepper, chili powder (all in equal parts...), and a little cayenne pepper. You can also add any other seasonings you like, to taste...PAM makes a "High Temp" cooking spray, for the grill.4. Cons-a. This is difficult and time consuming (2+ hours! & I'm VERY handy!), to assemble!Tips- Pounding on the axel end caps was a challenge (finally laid it on it's side, and put a 1/4 drive socket (for backing, on the other end) & hold cap with pliers.You will surely drop screws... (I put an old sheet underneath it).

Great Grill

This grill is great. It took about an hour to assemble but it was relatively easy. It's a good size (you could easily grill a couple of steaks on it) plus the rotisserie feature is nice. It heats up quickly and cooks the food evenly. The grill itself is sturdy and thick and leaves nice grill marks on the food. It is removable and easy to clean either by hand or in the dishwasher. The side trays are also removable and are a heavy duty plastic that can be put in the dishwasher. If you choose to you can put some hickory chips in the bottom of the unit next to the heat coils, then close the hood and smoke the food, which gives the food a great hickory smoked flavor. There is a drip tray at the bottom of the unit that is easy to remove and clean. I like the fact that this grill is environmentally friendly and I never have to worry about running out of gas halfway through my cooking. All in all, this is a great grill and I'm very happy with it.

I really love this grill. I am able to turn it on and in just a few minutes later, ready to grill! no muss, no fuss. I was successful in putting it together myself without any difficulty. It took about an hour. I really feel better about using this grill in terms of less pollution/better for the environment.

Great Hammer!!!

I have been a contractor for about 15 years now. I started with a 28oz. Estwing and was perfectly happy until age and daily abuse caught up with my shoulders and elbow. I would normally be the first to make a quick "need some salv for your nether regions girly" kind of guy until I started losing sleep to shoulder pain. I hired a new guy who had a wood handled stiletto who repeatedly told me I should try it. After much prodding I finally gave it a chance, I have never been a fan of curved or wooden handles (I should note that I use my hammer!) but the weight and swing of the stiletto was enough to get me online searching for a straight, nonwooden handled version. After receiving my hammer I put it to use immediately and have been in love ever since. The lighter weight took some time to get used to but now my old Estwing feels like a sledge hammer. I especially like the extended part of the head before it gets to the handle, I bought my son the 14 oz. version and noticed that it doesn't have this and has the battle wounds to show for it. In all I love this hammer and after driving 20d and 60d nails all day when we build the occasional pole barn my shoulders, wrists and elbows no longer hurt! I don't know if it's the best hammer out there but it is by far the best hammer I have ever used!

Not as bad as some would have you believe!

It is still somewhat early to review this product, as I have only used it 3 times so far. I have cooked chicken breasts, pork loin, and turkey burgers. The grill was quite simple to put together, just make sure before you start that you separate all of your hardware so you know you have it all, and you don't accidentally use the wrong item in the wrong place. I researched electric grills on-line quite thoroughly, and found this to be the best. Meco isn't even available in CO so I purchased it through Amazon with absolutely zero issues... as usual.VERY IMPORTANT: To all of the people saying that they are cooking food on a slant and the food falls off onto the floor... they are putting it together incorrectly! Unless you are using the rotisserie, your cooking surface should always remain flat! The only thing that can change angles is the heating element, so that you can cook things more well done toward the back and more rare items toward the front of the grill.Probably my only complaint so far would be to say that my heating element is automatically slightly slanted because that's the position into which it falls. I probably just need to tighten something, but I have not fully investigated it yet. However, it is nothing horribly significant. Also, the grill is smaller than most traditional propane grills, but I cook for only one or two people and it is more than sufficient.If you can't go propane... go Meco! It's sooo nice knowing you will never run out of propane again! Also, cleaning isn't too bad, but I recommend placing some aluminum foil between the heating element and the cooking surface.

Best grill I've ever owned

I've had this grill for almost a year and am very pleased with it. The food comes off nicely charred and has a great bar-b-que taste.I've used it for chicken, steaks, and burgers on the grate, and pork loins on the rotisserie. It cooks everything quickly and evenly.Two neighbors had this same model grill and recommended it. One said it was delivered next day. I thought that was an exaggeration. I ordered it from Amazon at approximately 1:00 PM one day and it was delivered by 10:30 AM the next. I was amazed. Assembly was easy. It took less than an hour.Those complaining about food sliding or rolling off of the grating are installing it incorrectly. There are two tabs pressed into the metal in the back of the grill. The rear of the grating should rest on these.I highly recomment this grill.

If you can afford it, BUY IT

I am a framing carpenter by trade. For 12 to 14 hours a day 6 sometimes 7 days a week I earn my living with a nail gun and a hammer. The first day I used it my wrist and elbow felt better when I got home. I had more driving power than my 22oz california framer i was using. This hammer suprised me with the power to easily bump walls in place. Everyone I work with wants one now. They had all switched to 16oz finish hammers to save their elbows but I didn't want to give up the giant framer. The one thing you need to watch out for is that hammer really does drive like a 32oz so watch you fingers and your wood. I have rip ped a good inch of a 2 x 10 by missing on a toe nail. If you need a framing hammer to earn your living, buy this even if you don't need a lighter hammer. It drives faster, hits harder and the balance of it makes you hope your nail gun fails.

Too delicate

I got this hammer via a promotional trade-in. I used to be a framer so I do appreciate a well made hammer. The hammer felt very comfortable & the weight was nice. Unfortunately, the serrations on the head wore down in a little over a month, & the head became loose. The company replaced the hammer but this time sent along an instruction sheet that states the hammer cannot be used to strike chisels, nail sets, or nail pullers.As a remodeling contractor I need a hammer that is able to hit allot more than just soft nails so the replacement hammer is sitting in its box unused. I went back to conventional steel.

Best "Electric" Grill

We live in a condo complex on a second floor with a large balcony. We are only allowed to have an Electric Grill. After reading many of the other reviews for the other Electric Grills, I choose Meco because I did consumer research.Having the Grill this summer was a great gift. Food tastes wonderful, doesn't take up too much space, has 2 fold out flaps to store food and such. Heats up quickly, easy temperatures gauge.As for cleaning, take the metal rack and rinse with ease. If cleaned quickly after use, like any pot or pan with hot water, stays completely perfect. If not grill residue does build up in the electric area that gives you the heat to grill, and if you wait to long to clean you will smell the burning of the old excess drippings. (I clean immediate without any issue - the fiance although did not...)

The design of this grill leaves something to be desired. It is difficult to clean and the drip tray is a little aluminum loaf pan that is hard to insert into the holder without mangling it.The electric burner has an aluminum pan under it which catches all the juices, grease, etc., which causes it to smoke heavily.The rotissery works pretty good. My last one was a CharBroil and it was far superior to this one.

A good electric grill.

We've enjoyed this grill for over a year and it works very well. We don't have a gas hookup on our balconey since we live in an older high-rise condo building, so we are forced to have electric. This grill is the best of all of them. We've had two Char-Broil grills and both pathetically died after a year. We also tried an electric grill from Home Depot that annoyingly never held a constant temperature. This grill is still going strong and we expect it to for years to come. The hinged door is a must as well as the wooden racks which are not offered with any of the other electric grills. This is our forth electric grill and by far the best.After having this grill a couple of years, I'm downgrading the stars. It still works, but it isn't 5 star quality. Yet, there is not much to chose from in terms of electric grills and it does work well enough.
