Product Description

Casio AP24 Digital Piano (88 Keys, with Wood Cabinet and Stand) The Casio AP24 Digital Piano looks fantastic, and with its hammer action feel, superb sound quality and wide range of features - its beauty is more than skin deep! The AP24 has 88 naturally-scaled hammer keys, which are graded from heavier in the lower registers to lighter in the higher region ? just like a fine acoustic piano. The sound generator is based on stereo samples taken from acoustic instruments, enhanced by a powerful sound system and reverb and chorus effects. Two tones can be layered and played simultaneously, and the keyboard can be split to assign different tones to the left and right sides. The Casio AP24 also has two separate pedals for dedicated damper, soft/sostenuto effects. Its onboard Song Memory lets you separately record and play back tunes. You can record in one memory location and later record in the other, while playing back your original recording, or even play back from both memories at the same time! Details include 3 levels of touch response, Grand Piano, Electronic Piano, Harpsichord, Pipe Organ, Acoustic Bass and Vibraphone sounds (8 total sounds), and 2 headphone jacks - making it ideal for lessons and rehearsal.

5Good piano for a new student
By Aleksandr
This is a great piano for a new student. Overall price/performance is great. It feels a lot like a real piano. Of course, an experienced pianist can feel a difference, but the main goal with buying this instrument was not to spend tons of money and still get a decent piano.Another great thing about this digital piano is a headphone jack. This is one of the most important advantages of the digital pianos (for those who have to listen :-). Even though we bought this piano for my daughter, I also play it at night using headphones. The bottom line is if you need to practice playing piano, but don't want to spend a lot of money - this is your best bet. I searched other Web sites, but this one was the best deal.

5This is a great option for those who want an affordable quality piano
By C. Hessel
My wife and I have been wanting to buy a piano for a long time but due to cost and transportation issues it has not been feasible. We have been looking at electronic pianos but it is difficult to find one that doesn't look like a glorified boom box, or that has a full keyboard with realistic action, or one that doesn't sound electric. For the price this has been a very satisfying experience. As we just got it a month ago its a little too early to know how it will hold up. A drawback of being portable is that the removable stand is made of particle board. It has been my experience with such furniture that it does not hold up in the long run. Especially since the pedals are attached to this it has me a bit concerned. There is a small adjustable pad below the pedals to give support, however. As the keyboard portion is entirely removable from the base, if it does start to show wear we will likely have a new base built for it. This is also a nice feature since it makes transportation much easier than a full upright piano. The feel of the keyboard action is quite nice, and the volume is reactive to the force placed on the keys. The piano tones are quite realistic with little to no noticeably electronic quality to them. One range of keys (approximately the 2nd to lowest octave) has a more noticeable electronic sound quality but I don't feel that it is noticeable enough to detract from the overall quality much.

5Perfect for Us
By Kyle
I bought this for my girlfriend for Christmas. I wanted to get her a piano, but I didn't want to throw my back out while we're still fairly young and have a few more moves left in us. Who knows how many stairs I'll have to carry this up and down?It sounds great, was easy to set up, and best of all, I got mine for less than four hundred dollars.
