We bought this a 3 years ago to add storage and counterspace to our kitchen. IT almost matches our cabinetry. THe granite surface is nice for putting hot pans on. Guests always congregate around this island when we entertain. They set their drinks on it and snack on appetizers we set out, gathering around and talking. The drawer is very low clearance, so only stores flatter items and utensils. THe cabinet offers nice storage but has a loud noise when opening and closing the doors (I think from a magnet built in). THe towel bars are nice and so is the rack for spices. The wheels are nice so that we can push it up against the wall occasionally when more space is needed. ALl in all this is a sturdy counter, stays put, durable, attractive, extra storage. A GREAT PURCHASE and well worth the price.
