I used two of these sconces to set off either side of a large piece of artwork on an end wall of the room. These were perfect and really look good. I used 75 watt halogen bulbs that are dimmable and provide non-glare lighting that is bright and fill the wall area with light.The style is very contemporary and goes well with my wall art, burgundy couch and chair. Very satisfied.

Looks great, but there are design problems:1. this pretty large vertically oriented lamp is held on only a single point, and it can't be tightened up easily because this decorative round threaded cap is very very smooth, nothing to grip onto. So the entire lamp seems to easily tip over and the glass shade would just fall down.2. Because it's held by a capped and not a regular nut, you have to carefully measure how much of the threaded tube should stick out, and you can easily spend some "quality time" adjusting how much of the threaded tube should be screwed in, while the manual says only three full turns3. The frame is larger than the glass shade and you have to carefully adjust glass shade's position when inserting, it's only held by the gravity there4. You can only install bulb when the glass shade is in place, otherwise you won't be able to slip the shade over the bulb5. The manual that came with the unit is generally written for the entire product line and doesn't address my concerns above at all6. The products comes without some auxiliary components (two mounting screws and two electrical wire-to-wire connection cones) and you have to run around look for it, especially if it's brand new installation (vs. replacement). I expected from a product in this price range to be worry-free equipped...I'm surprised that other reviewers posted "installation is easy"; it rather seems to be easy but I'm not sure whether the glass shade will still be there in the morning...The design is beautiful, though, my wife bought three of those.

We've ordered three of these sconces as we continue to remodel our home. They are a handsome design that works well in different settings, and are well made for the price.
