I have a late 90's Carvin SC90 W/ humbuckers & 2 coil splitting switches. It's a beautifully made guitar. Solid mahogany body w/ flame maple top. I hated the way it sounded. The pick ups(pups) are C-22's which are Carvin OEM. I decided to give the guitar one more chance before I got rid of it. I was going to install a Seymour Duncan JB & a '59 like I did with my Les Paul. As I was browsing on Amazon I found the Hot Rod Special (Seymour Duncan JB & Jazz). I went to the Seymour Duncan web site & listened to what the Jazz sounded like. Sounded good to me, so I placed the order with Amazon.I received the pups in 3 days. I had never rewired a guitar before, but got through it with no problems. The guitar is now a screamer. It sounds a lot like my Les Paul only a little hotter. The split coil settings give it a Tele type sound. With the Jazz in the neck position I get a very cool single coil sound that is great for chords & a crunch type setting on my amp (Rivera).I don't think I could have made a better choice. Remember, there is only one thing that translates what you play & that the pups. If they suck so does your sound.

I've owned an Oscar Schmidt O30 Guitar (Hollow Body) for a few years and it has become one of my favorite guitars. Despite its price it looks terrific, has an outstanding intonation and a very warm sound. However I always felt there was something this guitar was missing. I thought because of the price of the guitar I couldn't expect that much out of it, so I let the issue rest for a few years.Later on, I decided maybe the sound of the guitar could be improved by upgrading the pick ups. After a lot of research, I looked upon the Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Set and decided to give it a try. It was one of my best decisions! The guitar sounded OK but now it sounds great! The pick ups really pick the warm sound of the guitar and add beautiful harmonics!I highly recommend this set for hollow body guitars.

I make an overhauling to my guitar, so I change the old pickups.This product change my guitar sound 180 degrees, I love the new sound.It is easy to use and to install.I recommend these set of pickups!!!
