3Good shoes but doesn't fit true to its size
By V. Patel
I liked the shoes and it looks very good with good material. The work is nicely done for the shoes. Good shoes for the money with a caveat. The shoes doesn't fit true to its size and to me that's a defect. All of my shoes are 9M but I had to re-order 9.5M for this shoes. Please consider 0.5 size more than your normal shoe sizes.

4Lovely shoe for a reasonable price
By Grady Historian
Averaging about $100, the Bostonian Tahoe is a moderately-priced shoe sporting a high-end look. The shoe itself is manufactured in India, yet has a sheen that reminds folks of Italy. The debate about shoe sizing is interesting to me, because I see two folks say that they downsize by a half-size while another person says they upsize by the same measure. Since I fall into the latter category (wearing 9.5 Bostonians versus 10.0 normally), I guess I even up the mark. Given the variance, I'd suggest Bostonian sizing is pretty standard.I bought these shoes because they fit well and looked nice - no great epiphany there. Whether they last for several years is yet an unknown question. But after being in business for more than 100 years (powered by the lovely waterfalls of the northern Boston suburbs), they seem to have a pretty good bead on what folks are looking for... and given the new manufacturing site in India, also what they're willing to pay.Bostonian features "First Flex" construction, which suggests that the shoes need absolutely no break-in period. I'll admit that's a lie, as did the salesman from whom I bought these shoes (his took about 2-3 days to feel comfortable). But hey, do you believe every marketing slogan you read?If you think they look good, and if they feel good on your feet, I'd say buy 'em. For the price and character, you're entering both a known quantity and a good product history.

3Reconsider V.Patel's review on size
By E. Kim
Take heed, the shoes are not 0.5 size smaller. In fact it may be even .5 bigger. I just ordered and got 3 bostonian size 10w shoes and two of them met my expectations for size 10w. However, the 3rd - yes the Tahoe shoes was bigger by at least .5 inches. You can go on and take Patel's personal experience with 1 bostonian or take my warning that is based on 3 bostonian shoes.Bottom line: if you're unsure, just order the size you usually order or go to a store and try them on first because all shoes can fit differently. Just don't expect your feet to be the same as Patel's or the bostonian tahoe to be smaller relative to other bostonians.Btw, as for the quality of the shoe. It felt kinda thin in the uppers. It looks quite nice - shiny and polished but I already started seeing creases where the toes meet the rest of your feet straight out of the box. And like i said they seem to be a bit bigger, partly because the upper isn't padded like my other bostonians.

2Avoid Rubber Insert Soles
By Michael D. Hiteshew
Every time I've bought shoes with these rubber insert soles, they've fallen apart at the rubber-leather joint in a few months. They're terrible.

5Very nice shoes, comfortable and sharp
By SCW
I bought these shoes to wear with my Hickey Freeman suit as I wanted to try something from traditional cap-toe oxfords. I have to say I love the style, but I'd classify them more as dress casual than dress formal. I'll still probably need to find another pair of dressier oxfords to wear with my suit, but for gray slacks these are perfect.

5Great for scrubbing
By TRZ
I have 200 sq feet of Italian tile flooring that took me 8 hours to hand scrub to get looking clean (cleaning the grout was especially troubling). After doing a lot of research, I realized this near-industrial tool was what I needed.I also have an older dog that sometimes goes on the carpet. I used this machine with Koblenz Carpet Shampoo and Koblenz Deodorizer (2 different products) and the spots and urine odor are gone. Great tool for touch ups. This machine is a SCRUBBER. It will lay down liquid for you and scrub for you, but it won't remove the liquid. For tile floors you'll have to mop up the liquid yourself. For carpets, you vacuum the cleaning residue.I HIGHLY recommend this product. It is smartly engineered and manufactured to do a single type of job. It has a metal "chassis", brass bushings, and the reservior tank is made of sturdy plastic. I haven't had anything break, but if something does break, parts are available on line and should be easy to replace.I really like the Koblenz shampoo and deodorizer, but the Koblenz hardsurface cleaner is unnecessary - Mr. Clean works as well or better than the hardsurface cleaner on my tile floors. My first attempt at cleaning the tile, I used the cleaner sparingly with the hard bristle brushes and didn't like the outcome. The second time I cleaned the tile I used the soft bristle bushes with a liberal amount of cleaner and the tile came out fantastic. So, if you get this machine, you might need to experiment before you're happy with the outcome.

5Great machine for home use
By Fr. Ed Jansen
My wife and I live in S.FLA with an all-tile home. The grout and tile are white. Normal mopping cannot clean out all of the dirt in the texture of tiles and truly causes the grout to become dirtier with mopping. I used the hard brushes and sprayed each grout joint with a cheap (private label Publix brand) stain and mildew remover ($3/bottle). I let the cleaner set for awhile, but not long enough to allow it to dry/evaporate. I turned on the machine and merely let the cleaner do all of the work. It cleaned up most of the grout, did a fabulous job on the tile. Once in awhile (not often) I had to rest my foot on the machine to put a little more pressure on the floor. After floor dried, I needed to do minimal touch up work on hands and knees. It save me a lot of hard- hands and knees scrubbing.

3does Okay, better than anything else I've found
By zoom42
Very easy to set up and use. I bought this system to clean my tile floors and grout lines. The brushes spin, however, there is not enough weight to push the brushes into all the grooves. I plan on using it frequently for a while and hopefully I'll be able to get most of the dirt out, but I think I'm back on my hands and knees to get that grout clean. This machine can't get it clean but maybe it can keep it clean once I scrub it out.

5Simply the best liquid foundation for my dry/sensitive skin....
By Moo!!!
I am one that could NEVER wear liquid foundation or any traditional cosmetics, for that matter. Not only would it be hard to find the perfect match for my skin, but also I'd end up going through the burning, itching, breaking out and irritating dry skin. Even with natural and mineral cosmetics, I have to be careful. My skin can't tolerate talc, zea mays (cornstarch), bismuth oxychloride, aluminum or copper derivatives, synthetic dyes, octyl palmate, kaolin clay (or any clays), mineral oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Phenoxethanol...to name a few common ingredients found in several cosmetics that I must avoid. Many mineral liquid foundations contain kaolin clay, bismuth oxychloride or other ingredients that may be natural, but are "no, no's" for me.Jane Iredale's Liquid Minerals formula I can handle very well, with absolutely no irritations or dryness. The coverage is soft, but it evens out the skintone beautifully. It feels like I am wearing nothing and really does look like I have healthy and radiant skin. I love it. Application is so easy regardless if I'm using my fingers, sponge or a cosmetic brush. Sometimes I'll use this as my foundation, while others I'll only use to even out specific areas. Either way, this is a very trusty "go to" product in my cosmetics collection. The only issue (which is actually rather small) I have with JI foundations is that the color categories for the liquid, pressed and powdered foundations aren't the same. I use Radiant in Liquid Minerals, but my matching shades for the pressed and loose bases are different. Radiant in the other bases is way too dark, but a perfect skintone match in the liquid.

5great product
By busterboo
I have been using Jane Iredale liquid foundation for about 6 months now and I love it. You have to remember to add a generous amount of water drops to the "blob" you squirt on the palm of your hand. It's hard to spread on your skin otherwise. I think it gives my skin a consistent look and provides a great base for blush or powder foundation. I will always use this product!

By d
Her make up is pricey but its great! VERY lightweight and it has a cool water feel when you put it on.. cant explain it. Its not cakey. I really love this product as well the compact powder. I also use Mabelinne 24hr super stay and it only $12 and even better as far as staying power. However, it can feel heavier..

5"Standard" by which all other truing stands are judged
By G. Powell
This is the stand to own. It's expensive but if after building a set of wheels you decide you don't want it, you can sell it on ebay for nearly what you'll pay here for it. They are that good.I got mine to build a set of wheels, and picked up the plastic base, Park Tool TSB-2 Truing Stand Base and a copy of The Bicycle Wheel 3rd Edition. Visited my local bicycle store for rims, nipples and a wrench that fit. A couple of evenings and I had my own custom built wheels. This wheel truing stand makes the job relatively easy for an amateur wheel builder because the self centering pincher gauge helps you automatically dish the rear wheel and correctly center the front. The whole tendency to make an egg shaped potato chip wheel goes away. It's not trivial but if you are handy with tools and can follow instructions and don't mind taking your time to make sure that you've threaded the spokes correctly in the hub, you'll be building wheels like a pro.Plus once you own one of these stands you won't let your wheels get so far out of round from those potholes before fixing them, because, well it's easy with this jig.

5Awesome Stand!
By J. Knudtson
Looked at all the stands and reviews and decided I couldn't go wrong with this one and I was right. Would've liked to have an offset on it. Maybe it does and I haven't figured it out yet. Either way it works great for me. The better the tools the less chance for error. Riding on my bike is great and this helps give me more time to ride and less time repairing.

1Lousy design. Dish moves over time.
By Morgan Venable
A truing stand is a pretty simple thing. It holds a wheel, and it lets you move a caliper very close to the rim on either side so you can true it. You'd think that would be an easy thing. If you made a single, monolithic system to hold the wheel and the caliper, and limited the lateral play of the caliper, you'd get a truing stand which was self-dishing, i.e. which would let you center the wheel at the same time as you true it.Too bad Park didn't design it that way... They combined the up-down motion of the caliper arm with the lateral adjustment for it. The result is tragic. This much-vaunted "shop-grade" tool fails to maintain dish over time -- moving the caliper arm up and down slowly causes the dish setting to drift. If you true a lot of wheels with different diameters (622mm, 559mm, etc), you *have to* use a separate, clumsy, pointless dishing tool to get the dish set right. That means having a dishing tool (big bulky dumb tool), taking the wheel out of the stand to check it, and then putting it back in. Just to *check* how close you've gotten. On a properly designed truing stand, true and properly dished are at the exact same place, and they converge *together* -- there's no point in making a true wheel that isn't dead-on properly dished. This is a known design flaw -- Park has instructions on how to correct the dish of the tool as it wanders over time. If they designed the tool differently, you'd never have to fix it, ever. Instead you're left wondering just how much it's moved during the last wheel build. Sure, you could test every wheel you build with a separate dish tool, but if it were built right you wouldn't have to!Do you keep a spare, perfectly dished wheel lying around your home shop to test this kind of thing? Me neither. I also don't keep a scientific-reference kilogram under a glass bell. This is not a tool which should require calibration. Analytic balances, sure. Truing stands? Not so much. The good people at Park make otherwise very nice stuff, but this design is a complete and utter loser. You'd do better to buy *any* other stand on which the dish won't slip -- the old forged Hozan sets are great, but there are plenty of budget stands which do it just as well, though they aren't as hefty.Still incredibly disappointed after about 6 years occasional use.For damn near $300 I expect better.Someday I'll get rid of this boat anchor and get a properly designed truing stand. Sigh.

5Lovely chandeliere.
By crisanne
This is very nice chandeliere. Not too ostentatious, it fits great in my dining area, and yet attractive and drawing complements from my family and friends. Also, easy to clean. Very pleasing to the eye. I would not mind if any of my friends bought it. My son has it in his house and that prompted me to buy one, too.
