5Finally, A High Quality Camera Encasement!
By Martin A Hogan
Most underwater camera encasements will run in the high hundreds if not over $1,000 or more. This compact enclosure for the Nikon 7900 is an amazing deal and invention. It's small and easy to hold without the bulkiness of the older underwater cameras with strobes. All of the regular camera features are easily used and read through the case and the results are fantastic. The "D-Light" feature is especially handy with "up" shots with the sun behind the object. The "burst mode" is great for individual shots of moving fish and the video is also very clear through this camera encasement. For the price, even an expert would love this camera. Also comes with an extra "O Ring", which is nice insurance when in a remote location. The camera enclosure claims to go to a depth of 130 feet, but that's PADI's depth limit for safety and, honestly, there's not much to see below a dark 60 feet anyway. 30 to 60 feet in depth is where the really cool critters exist.

5Great if you can find it-
By B. Girard
I managed to find one about a year ago, new, through an east coast on-line distributor. It was a struggle though. I have used it to a depth of over 100 ft and it has worked great. The controls are easy to use under the water. The camera flash is worthless while in the case, so if you can get a case you should also invest in a strobe or LCD light to bring out the true colors under water.

5great stuff
By Meester Shack
I tested it off of Florida, it worked well. I used a lot diving a week in Roatan. It worked great, all the button are available including the rotating top scene choices. The desiccant and case / o-ring worked perfectly to keep the camera dry. I could operate most controls with one hand, hitting the menu to switch to close-up, then turning on or off the flash, all with my thumb. Handy when holding a dive light in the other hand on night dives. It's small enough to push into hard to reach places or HOPE for that side shot when you can't see the view finder (which seemed often in tight places for sea horses or juvenile drum fish and others. The case did it all and remained small (like the camera), this a was a great buy.
