KC HiLiTES 631 Daylighter - 6 In Black 130w Long Range Off Road Light System (Pair)I have been searching for some lights to mount on my Jeep. I have always purchased Hella's for my other vehicles but could not find a light that suited my needs with them. I looked at Delta's, PIAA's, IPF's, etc before deciding on KC LiLites. The 631 set is complete and easy to install. I had them up and working in 60 minutes. They are bright, making my headlamps look dim. However, they put off a lot of heat. Also, I am not a big fan of the mounting bolt although its effective.In general I would recommend these lights. [...]

We all know the lights are great but the warranty is really great. I've had a pair of these for over ten years in black chrome (titanium model no longer available) and they eventually developed light rust on the housings (by the way - I never waxed them for added protection). They were on an SUV that was parked outside for the entire time. KC readily replaced them with brand new Daylighters without a question. Certainly, a great company to honor such a warranty.

The KC HiLites 631 130w off road light system were delivered quickly and safely. They're packed decently well. The instructions were very good and simple, which I needed as my wiring experience is somewhat limited. I installed them on a Smittybilt 76721 SRC Front Bumper on my Jeep YJ. Installing them on that bumper took a little work as the bolts on the lights are a little thick, so I ended up having to sort of thread them through the light brackets on the bumper. The wiring length from the lights to the router was adequate but a little longer would have made it easier to hide the wires instead of running them through the grill. The wiring to the switch you would install in your cab, however, was by far more than long enough. I also purchased two of the KC HiLiTES 7210 Black ABS 6" Stone Guards so I wouldn't have to remove the KC smiley face plates that come with it.Testing the lights I nearly blinded myself. They are that bright. That being said, keep in mind that off-road lights are for that only and in most (if not all) states such lights are illegal for road use. You can have them installed in most counties/cities/states, but are limited to only use them them in emergencies, for off-roading, or to accidentally blind yourself with 130 watts of happiness.
