Based on information from the House of Troy website and the higher cost of these lamps compared to other brands on-line and in stores I believed they were made in the USA. Amazon had them in stock while most stores would take two weeks for ship to store. Thanks to Amazon Prime the lamps arrived quickly and were undamaged, but the box said made in China. There is no noticable difference in the quality of these lamps compared to the ones for half the price that list their country of origin (also China). The instructions for mounting were good but the mounting hardware was cheap. One screw head had no slot (phillips), one plastic anchor stripped, and the screws all had different size heads. Except for the higher cost we like the lamps. They were easy to install, look good, and work fine.
