In case you don't know, a 1 inch chuck is massive, I believe is one is almost 10 pounds. I use it for holding pieces of bar in a drill press and up drilling them in the center by putting a bit in a vice below the press. Essentially, this turns the press into a very short lathe. It also helps with holding outsize drill bits. The chuck key is so big you could knock someone out with it, and covered in a nice plastic pour to protect it. This is not a ball bearing chuck, and tends to bind sometimes, but at a fifth of a price of a Jacobs ball bearing chuck, it's a steal.
