I bought the Aquarian soprano type on sale before I knew anything about Music of the Spheres windchimes. After listening to samples online, I'd have to say that the Chinese are the most bright and cheerful. I love the larger ones even more but don't want to spend $100 or so. These chimes are set to produce a certain melody line which they do without a whole lot of wind. In wind, they are very melodic not obnoxious clanging things. My advice to potential buyers is to look for places to test out which sound you'd like and whether you'd like soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto or bass. As I stated earlier the price does vary but they're so beautiful and come with a warrantee no less, it's worth treating yourself a bit.Amazon had the best price on these which I'm giving as a gift to a special person who deserves a treat.

We received these as a wedding gift and love them! They are high quality, beautiful wind chimes that sound beautiful. Being musicians, it is nice to hear such perfectly tunes pitches. These are way above and beyond the usual wooden chimes.I would highly recommend Music of the Spheres chimes for anyone, or as a gift.

Scheel's Sporting Goods may be a rare store, but they're huge, with plenty of inventory. The gift shop/cafe has these windchimes to sample, and I plan on getting one there, but it's hard to decide if I want the Mongolian or Aquarian versions. Both are equally priced at the same pitch, but have special tuning that varies with any of them. The largest one is very expensive, and I wouldn't recommend these in Chicago wind unless you were to bring them indoors at a window. I recommend these very much, they are the highest quality. Very beautiful sounds with any of them.
