I work in a data center and it's mostly wired using 230V L6-30 plugs. We try to keep all PDU's in the server racks to this standard, however we always seem to encounter situations with some customers equipment, to where we need to step down to 120V. Instead of having new 120V outlets ran, this box works very well in giving us the needed 120V power. It is heavy though, around 70 pounds from what I recall, and does come with a rail kit to mount in a rack. The power coming out of it is clean & we have experienced no problems with it getting hot either. We have a couple of them in use and never had any issue with them.
