Attractive and very accurate at a bargain price

Seiko makes outstanding watches for reasonable prices. This ladies watch is very attractive and quite reasonably priced. Furthermore, it's much more accurate than most Rolex watches which are far more expensive. Though finely built, and very expensive, most Rolex watches have mechanical movements guaranteed to an accuracy of only 2 minutes (120 seconds) per month. This Seiko watch is also finely built and its quartz movement gives it an accuracy of 15 seconds per month or better -- 8 times more accurate than most Rolexes. Beauty, accuracy, and dependability at a reasonable price make this Seiko watch a winner.

Dress seiko gold tone watch

This Seiko Women's Gold-tone watch, SXGL64, is actually a Christmas present from my husband. I had lost an earlier Seiko Gold Watch when we just moved. I am very happy with this new one. (My husband "did good.") I esp. like the white face, with the second hand. It is very easy to read, and I prefer the look of the white over gold face. I would give this 5 star, except that it is gold tone and not a gold band. But, it is beautiful; and, it doesn't seem like it will lose its color. It also feels so comfortable on (very easy to fit perfectly). Would recommend it highly. Pat Gutierrez

watch band cannot be replaced!!

Very disappointed that no where in the description is there anything about the fact that the watch bandis "married" to this watch and cannot be replaced!! The clasp is hard to work, and I would have preferreda stretch band had I known all of this! Now I wasted $100+. Would have kept looking had I seen a review like this one. Hope this helps someone out.

good looking, ages fast

Seiko has outlived its reputation: this watch is way too expensive for its cheap gold plating finish. I thought it was gold-fill which would last longer than six months...now it looks like a cheap timex or worse.(I think Gold-Tone is a colored paint, like fingernail polish)

Delicate and Lightweight

This is a charming watch with a nice smooth wrist bad (no kinks in the links to scratch you or catch on your clothing). I purchased this watch mostly because of the face ... I wanted numbers and not hash marks. I wasn't disappointed! The face is clear and a bit on the old fashion side which suits my taste. Then, of course, it is a Seiko ! I've never owned any other brand except a Seiko ... bought my first one in Japan and have never been disappointed! In my mind, this watch is much better looking then the illustration ... In the end, just a great value!

Perfect watch for persons with small wrists

Perfect watch for persons with a small wrists. After having links taken out it fits my wrist perfectly. It would still look good for persons with a larger wrist also. It is both a casual and a dress watch. Great Seiko quality. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Looks great, Seiko solid, and great price

This was a present for my mom who has a small wrist, and this watch is the perfect size, anything larger would have been too big. She also likes that it's thin and not at all bulky. The desgin and colors are clean and looks great. We've always had Seiko watches in my family, I got my first one 27 years ago, and now I'm only on my second daily-wear one, which attests to the high quality of Seiko watches. Plus it was so much cheaper purchasing from Amazon, I got this one for $90, which sells for around $130 on sale in department stores.

Love the Watch and Expansion Band

Expansion Bands are hard to find anywhere , this watch has looks and a expansion band.My wrist tends to sweat under my watch band. so being able to simply slide the band up or downmy wrist an inch or so ,remedys this problem.

great watch, stylish, slim, durable, accurate, great price, date in english and spanish, hands glow in the dark enough to read the time, the only thing is that you have to adjust the date on some months because of long and short months (29 vs 31 days/month).I highly recomend this watch, is a must have

It would have lasted forever if I were not so careless. :-(

I owned two watches over a period of 30 years. Both of them were Seikos. The first one lasted only ten years as it was repeatedly dropped on a concrete floor. I had to take it off several times each day because of the work I did at the time. It doesn't matter how well a watch is made, they will only be able to take so many drops before they quit working.The second watch I had was identical to this SGF523 model. I wore it for 20 years before it started falling apart. Once again, the reason for it's demise was my own carelessness.I fully believe that either of the watches I owned would have lasted me a lifetime if I had taken better care of them.I am now on my 3rd watch, and hopefully it will be the last one I have to buy. I purchased a Seiko Titanium (I can't remember the model number.) and it has not lost a second in the past several months that I have owned it.The only thing that I don't like about my present watch is the stem button is a bit large compared to the other two that I owned. The only Seiko that I have looked at that doesn't have this large stem button is the "523". The larger button took a little getting used to.OK, scratch the no more watches comment. I might buy me another "523" just for the heck of it.My old "523" is hanging from a door opener on my desk. I just didn't have the heart to throw it away after it had been a part of my wrist for 20 years. :-)

Seiko Watch

Great watch. It is the latest incarnation of the first watch I bought during my first summer job out of High School back in the late 70's. It is excellent, compact, and very durable.BUY AN EXTRA BAND while it is still an in-stock item. The band is the one part that wears out.

Working Motherboard

The application that I am using this on is not your standard server type of application. I needed to replace the motherboard on an Intellex Ultra (commercial dvr for a camera system).The motherboard powered up and started, but there were incompatibility issues with my system. This board had a Google Mini bios on it and it did not like my configuration. I swapped bios chips from the bad motherboard and it loaded fine.The reason for the 4 stars is because of the bios. I think that in most circumstances that the board would work fine, but is the Google Mini bios a factory bios or something the seller requested extra?Either way the board worked and I am happy I saved a lot of money.
