WOW!! What a beauty of a watch!!

The picture does not do this watch any justice. It is absolutly stunning!! It makes a great show on my husband's wrist. He gets compliments on it all the time. People notice this watch!! The face size is perfect for a man's wrist. The watch is accurate, well made and as far as we are concerned a fine piece of jewlery!! After having to purchase a new Fossil watch every six months, we decided to upgrade to a better brand. We have had this one well over a year and it looks (and works) like the day we bought it. It also comes packaged in a nice seiko box. The best thing about this watch is that it looks great when you are casual or dressed up. If this one ever needs to be replaced, I would repurchase the same watch. LOVE IT!!!

Beautiful Watch!!!

This watch is very beautiful in person. It has a very dressy appeal to it but not too formal where it couldn't be worn daily. The price on it is very good. I have seen it at the Seiko and Zales outlets for more money. The watch also offers neat features. The band has a great design where you cannot see the clasp. You will not be sorry. The packaging is top notch too. You really cannot ask for a better name, a trusted name that provides watches which last. We purchased many Fossil watches in the past, they did not last, I know this one will. Thank you Amazon!!! Keep up the good work!

BEAUTY WAS ONLY SKIN DEEP!

I loved the look of this watch, SKA245. The quality of case, bracelet and crown were excellent, and the price was right.The problem I had, was the watch would never hold a charge, regardless of how much I tried the "start-up procedure" as indicated in the instructions. (The second-hand keeps skipping every other second, indicating a low charge). Speaking of instructions, my watch came with the manual for another Seiko model, not the Kinetic. What they did include was a photo copy of the instruction sheet tucked into the watch's box.....very strange!The bottom line was, I am returning the watch and don't know if I would ever buy another Seiko Kinetic. Too bad, it was a beautiful looking watch. Not recomended at this time.

Good watch at a great price.

I have always liked Seiko watches so when I saw this one at such a great price, I jumped on it. I've had the watch for a month and it works great. It looks like a big watch but is deceptively light compared to my other watches. Overall, I am glad I bought this watch.

A Great Watch

My wife purchased this watch for me about four years ago and I have nothing bad to say about it. In the time I have owned it the watch has keep time without losing or gaining any time. I have never had a problem with the watch running out of power. No need to look at the watch and see that you have to run to the store for a new battery because the one in the watch is dead. As a matter of fact once the watch was charged up, simply by wearing it, it has stayed fully charged. If you are looking for a reliable and stylish watch at a great price this is the watch to buy.

Beautiful and durable

I bought this watch as a gift for my mother. It is beautiful. We have always worn Seiko watches and wouldn't buy another brand. It is a good, quality product line. The more expensive brand watches are beautiful too, but for the money, Seiko is a perfect choice.

Love this watch!

I am 51 and have never had a 'good' watch. I am a watch junkie - cannot ever be without one, and will take it off to shower at night and put it back on and sleep with it on. I also have horses and ride daily, which can be hard on a watch (hosing off the horses and the accompanying horse sweat/grime), swim at the Y and really wanted a nice watch that I _never_ have to take off. This fills the bill - and it's _pretty_ too. I was pleasantly surprised at how thin and sleek it was. I like the tiny diamonds as the hour markers - elegant but not gawdy. The only thing I don't like about it is the hands are not illuminated so you cannot read it at night. (And that's the only reason I gave it four stars instead of 5) I've had it a month or so now, have showered, been swimming, bathed horses and it's performed very well. I am a happy camper.

The best Seiko Dive Watch

Several things make this watch the best Seiko Dive Watch. First, the movement is Quartz, so you can leave the watch off for several days/weeks and it will keep time (unlike the "automatic" or "kinetic" movements). Second the bezel is silver not black so scratches don't show. Third the crystal is VERY scratch resistant. Fourth, nice metal band with the "double" lock. Fifth, It has a low battery indicator (second hand jumps two seconds when battery is low) AND you can get batteries that last close to five years. Next, obviously, it is VERY waterproof. But the best feature of this watch is that it keeps time VERY accurately. You can pay a lot more for an Omega or a Tag H or a Rolex if your ego needs the boost, but I don't think you can buy a better Dive Watch

Nice watch -- but look at the picture closely.

This is a fine "dress diver" watch, with a hefty but not uncomfortable weight. The silver bezel makes is dressier than a black bezel watch without compromising its usefulness. With a 200M rating, this is sutable for scuba diving. I have owned (and used) several dive watches over the years, and in my option, Seiko makes the best product available. I have smallish wrists, and this watch does not look overpowering when I wear it. The only word of caution on this item is to look closely at the bezel -- it's asymmetrical, with larger "bumps" on two of the sides. It's not apparent in the pictures, but was the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box. Still, I haven't let it detract from a fine dive watch.

4 years and still going strong

I received this watch as a Christmas present in 2004 - and I have not had a single issue with it. In fact, I have yet to replace a battery!As others have mentioned the watch is very lightweight. This is important to me since I really dislike wearing watches - however - the Seiko titanium is so lightweight that I hardly notice that I have it on my wrist.Other Positives-- Keeps great time. I have never had to adjust the time other than the obvious reasons (time zone changes and such)- Titanium is even more chemical resistant that stainless steel. Therefore, unless you decide to stick you wrist in hydrofluoric acid (Which would cause you bigger issues than your watch band dissolving) you are pretty safe.... unless you work "in" methanol. Titanium can crack if it is directly exposed to very dry (95% pure) methanol. Again - this would not effect 99.99% of potential consumers. There are many, many more chemicals that will attack stainless steel, aluminum, leather and rubber.Slight Negatives-- I have scratched the watch face. In fact, a couple of the scratches are rather deep.- I have mixed feelings on self-illuminating hands. They can be helpful, but can detract from the watches looks. Final verdict - This is the best watch that I have owned.

Best Dang watch you can get

I purchased this timepiece approximately two years ago, and it has been one of the best investments I have ever made, period. Keeps time like it runs on some sort of atomic clock, and it hasn't dissapointed me yet. Lightweight, rugged, yes, I have scratched the face in a few places, but who cares? I bought it to wear it, and I consider scratches to be character marks. This watch has the best feel I have ever seen(felt). Extremely lightweight, band is very flexible, and there is no stiffness in the bracelet. Watch has a great look too! Sizing is no problem either, no harder than threading a needle. Since I bought this watch, I have been very impressed with Seiko, and now own three Seiko watches, for no other reason than I like Seiko!! The other two are both Kinetics, which I perceive as a very innovative, useful mechanism. I also have four brothers who also purchased Sekios as a result of my own enthusiasm about Seiko, two of whom bought Kinetics! The Seiko Men's Kinetic Watch #SKA227 is one beautiful watch. I get many complements on this watch. The lines of the band blend beautifully into the watch. The Kinetic movement keeps this time-piece accurately running with no battery or sun light needed. I am very satisfied with this purchase and the delivery response time from Amazon was terrific.

Really Really like it

I am very happy with this watch so far it looks good is easy to read with my over 50year old eyes just one problem the stem has come up while I was wearing it and this has caused it to stop. If it had a screw down stem I think this might be the perfict watch for me. It seems a great value a friend with a Omega Speedmaster gave it an admiring look that seemed to say what did I get for my extra $1500. Well something I guess but still.
