5Better than regular chop saw blades
By J. Jeppesen
I use this blake in my Makita chop saw. In my farm shop it gets used a lot, the last one lasted 3 years. This carbide blade is a lot cheaper in the long run, it saws faster and it doesn't put dust in the air like the old abrasive disks. The only caution is make sure the work is secured in the saw vice, these blades are "grabby".

5Great Blade
By D. Byers
This blade works great. It cuts straight and clean with no burs left on your work. Cuts way faster than abrasive blades, and without the dust or sparks. But one of the best features is that the blade wont heat up the metal, you can touch the cut rite after cutting, it stays cold. It also doesn't get smaller with every use like abrasive blades do. Just remember, only cut MILD STEEL, or other soft metals, NOT stainless steel, spring steel, or hardened steel. If you do, it will ruin it very fast. But as long as you are careful with it you will love it.

This Metal Cutting 12 IN. BLADE IS A REAL WINNER! A local Steel Supply uses the Makita LC 1230 Saw to cut all kinds of Mat's. This Blade is the choice for all but the thin mat's. The Speed and low cost of Amazon was the best I could find! Very Happy--should've gotten it some time ago !

5No problem Fence
By Kenneth A. Schwiebert
I have a 25 year old Delta Unisaw that I wanted to upgrade as opposed to buying a new one. I had previous experience with this fence on a Powermatic 66 and liked it but several reviews of this caused me some concern especially considering how expensive it was. So I researched the subject thoroughly and considered several options including the Unifence, Vega, and Incra fence. I finally decided to buy the Biesemeyer as I originally planned. The rails arrived separate from the fence by a day. Both boxes were beat up quite a bit but there was no damage to the contents because it was adequately packaged. The color was Delta light grey not Jet white, which pleased me. It bolted up perfectly to my saw in a matter of minutes. The instructions were completely adequate and that fence was dead on from the factory after setting it up like the manual said. I mean perfect! I'm very fussy about tool set-ups and alignments so I was surprised. I have no complaints except that I waited so long to get it. It's a simple, well made, accurate device.

5Expensive but good
By M. Armstrong
A good fence is not cheap. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money for anything, but I don't regret it or even think twice any more. This fence package comes with legs and the mounting hardware to attach the rails.

5Great retrofit for older Delta table saws
By A. Weed
Getting a table saw with a riving knife would be the ideal situation, but is cost prohibitive for me at this time. I currently have a Delta Unisaw made in 1998 that did not come with a blade guard or splitter when I bought it used. I looked at many of the splitting options available on the market and did not like the function of most of them. I especially did not like the tiny inserts that pin into the blade plate. I wanted something that would stay on the saw, but not be in the way. I don't like the splitters that have to be removed and put back on since it leaves an extra piece in the shop that has to be shifted around until you need it again. This Delta splitter was the perfect compromise. It mounts very easily with no modifications needed. It is very durable and not wider than my standard blade. It extends and retracts easily without setting any mechanisms, simply slide up and down and it will stay in place. It has a tab on top of it so you can pull it up easily with one finger and so you can push it down easily with your palm.I don't use thin kerf blades, so I cannot speak for its compatibility with them.Lining it up with the blade was no trouble since the holes are a little wider for that fine adjustment. Even though the holes are a little wider, this device has not shifted and maintained it proper position. It came with all hardware needed. It ships with a greasy coating on the cast iron mounting plate, but it can be easily cleaned off. This item may seem expensive for how much material went into it, but I bit the bullet and have not regretted it since. It's either spend money on this splitter or spend $1k to $3k on a new cabinet saw.

5a.k.a. The Delta Disappearing Splitter
By StainlessSteel
I purchased this disappearing splitter for my right tilt Unisaw for 2 reasons: 1 This splitter moves up and down verticaly allowing you to not have to remove it for dados. Just remove your throat plate to move your splitter up or down. 2 This splitter works in conjunction with my HTC Brett Guard with NO clearance issues- I could not do that with the Biesemeyer removable splitter. Remember, this is for RIGHT TILT SAWS!!!

5Finger saver.
By K. Rocke
This is, by far, the best safety device I've ever used on a table saw. It installs quickly and does exactly what it is supposed to do - act as a 'riving knife' to keep boards being ripped from pinching the tablesaw blade and kicking back at the operator. I used three of these for thirteen years running a high school cabinetmaking shop program, and never had a board kick back at me or any of my students - and here we're talking about literally thousands of operations performed by high school students just learning how to rip safely. I'm no longer a teacher, but just bought one of these for my own Delta Unisaw at home. Best insurance policy I could buy. Highly recommended.

2Crude, Barely Functional as a Transit, Cheaply Made
By Thomas A. Ashley
I purchased this item as a "poor man's transit" to rough out a building site. The price seemed reasonable in comparison to the "real" instruments. The product is crude and economically manufactured in China (what isn't these days?). It's functional, but by no means a precision instrument and the instructions and user manual are crudely translated on a flimsy little rice-paper pamphlet. It's not what I had envisioned and barely usable for my intended purpose.

4cst berger compass
By jcordova
simply awesome. An exact replica of the $4-600 bruntons I use in my geology field courses. The only hitch is, at least with mine, the red paint is on the south facing needle, whereas traditionally its on the north.. given the included instructions I would not buy this if you do not already know how to use one.. Unless you're very very intelligent.. If you know how to use it this is an excellent buy my fellow geology students are looking to as a far cheaper alternative to the brunton brand compasses

4Not a Brunton, but nice!
By RoninUT
I ordered one of these to help find the property corners at a rural home. It arrived and the south end of the needle was painted red, opposite of how it should be. Also the bubble levels were not properly installed so that when the compass body is sitting on a level surface, the bubbles were not centered. In addition, the needle would align perfectly with the north end pointing to 0 and the south end pointing to 180, but when you turned the compass body around so that the south end of the needle pointed to 0, the north end was a few degrees off of 180. There are three possible causes for this. One would be the needle point the compass needle rides on being off center a bit. Another would be the cup bearing in the needle being off center. Another possible cause would be the graduated ring that rotates to adjust for declination could be off center in the compass body. The first one I received would have earned 1 star but I decided to give them a chance and see how the replacement turned out.I returned it for replacement and Amazon promptly shipped the replacement which arrived two days later. The replacement seems to be properly adjusted and calibrated. But the South end of the needle is still painted red on the replacement. In all other regards it appears to be a satisfactory instrument for the intended purpose.I have a Brunton ball and socket mount and the slots on the side of this compass are not machined to the correct dimensions and it fits loose in the mount. This can be compensated for by wedging some thin cardboard under the mounting tabs to tighten it up. But you shouldn't have to do that. I gave it 4 stars. To get 5 stars they should fix the mounting slot dimensions, and paint the North end of the needle red instead of the south end. And better quality control practices to ensure defective ones like the first one that shipped don't slip through the cracks. In short, if you get a good one it is a pretty nice tool for the price but be prepared to deal with the south end of the needle painted red and you will need to use some cardboard to make it fit a Brunton ball and socket mount if you plan to use it with a tripod.UPDATEAfter doing a little more research, this compass appears to be made by Harbin Optical Instrument Factory in Hong Kong. CST Berger rebrands them. The exact same model can be found without the Berger name and without the markup.

5Perfect panini every day
By Michael Szczepanski
I have nothing but praise for this pan. I have been using it 4-5 times per week since I purchased it.The pan heats quickly and evenly and gives that perfect grilled crust to everything I have tried. It did take some practice to get the temperature and timing down - I heat the press on another burner at 9/10 and the pan at about a 4/10. That gives me the perfect browning to both sides while also allowing enough time for the sandwich to get hot throughout. All Clad gives some advice on timing and procedure, but I think my system works better. Be aware, the handle of the pan stays cool but the press handle can get hot.The listing does not say, but the press is cast iron and quite heavy. Cleanup of the press and pan is easy. The non-stick of the pan works well and the cast iron cleans up easily (I always butter or oil what I am grilling, so ymmv).I now get perfect sandwiches every time, and never have to worry about all the things that can go wrong with an electric panini press. I am sure this pan will give me many years of great service.

5This is the best-
By E. Quintanilla
This pan will not disappoint; it's the real thing! The press weighs as least twice as much as the pan--which is hard to find these days. I originally purchased to grill sliced panini rolls, but now use this wonderful pan to grill almost everything from steaks to vegetables. The press is heavy and works; only draw back to this is when it's hot, it's sometimes difficult to hold on to in the air or locate the right spot to rest the press when you have to flip, garnish and/or move around what ever you're grilling.

3Not For Certain Cooktops
By Andrea L. Kohler
I asked for, and received the All-Clad Panini Pan with Press as a gift. I was so excited and couldn't wait to use it; however, bad news arrived before I ever got the chance - while reading the Instructions I found that it is not recommended for flat top stoves. Since I have a flat glass cooktop, I decided to call All-Clad to find out why it is not recommended and they told me it is because of the way the pan and press are constructed, the heat will not distribute evenly and I would not get good results - and they definitely recommended against using the pan. Just want to pass this along in case you are considering - I'm returning mine . . . unused.

5All-Clad Fondue Set w/Ceramic Insert
By Debra A. Mckibben
Just bourght and used this set and absolutely LOVE it. We are regular fondue folks and this is, by far, the best set. Other sets we used were typically enamel and ended up with burnt spots in the middle and uneven heating.Decided to go with All-Clad because I have a few of their other pans which work beautifully. The set is all dishwasher/microwave safe which is a huge plus. The quality is superb -- even the forks. The pots are wider and much sturdier on the stand than other sets. But, the best part is the quick heat up time and even temperature. No more burnt cheese spots. The ceramic insert is perfect for cheese or chocolate and makes the set extremely versatile.I wish I had bought two when I had the chance. The only downside is the set costs more than most but the quality is well worth it.The only other comment is that I wish makers would offer more forks with the sets and make it easier to identify forks. In other words, each guest should have 3 or 4 forks and all of the same color.

4Beautiful and Versatile Fondue Pot. But the Fuel Source in Unacceptable.
By mirasreviews
All-Clad's fondue pot with ceramic insert is gorgeous and functional for oil, broth, cheese, and dessert fondues. The 3-quart stainless steel pot holds the oil or broth, while the 2-quart ceramic insert is for melted fondues, such as cheese or chocolate. The size is suitable for 4-6 people. I've been using mine for 2 people, and my cheese seems a little lost in there, but it works. You will need 1-1 ½ quarts of oil for frying. The ceramic insert works like a double boiler. You fill the metal pot ¼ of the way with water, bring to a boil, and melt your cheese or chocolate in the insert. You won't get any cheese baked to the bottom, which may be a disappointment to those who like to eat it. But the cheese will not overheat, and you will be able to get every bit of it with your bread. This is a heavy-duty pot, with the emphasis on heavy. The steel pot weighs 2.75 lbs and 5.6 lbs with the ceramic insert. That's before you add water or food. The pot will not scoot or spin if people bump or poke it at the table. Thankfully, it has loop handles for easy carrying. The bottom of the pot is a thick disc, unlike standard All-Clad pots. It resembles the bottom of my pressure cooker; I suppose it's intended to distribute the heat evenly. The stand on which the pot sits is wide and very stable as well. But the metal legs of the stand do get hot, so you may want to protect your table. You'll need a trivet about 9 inches square (or triangular) to accommodate the stand. The pot comes with 6 fondue forks with tips of the handles in different colors. The forks are 9 inches long and matte silver, in contrast to the shiny pot. Each fork has a notch with which to suspend it from the metal cut-out lid that sits on top of the pot when you are using oil. The lid contains splatters and allows you to fry your food in the oil without wearing your arm out or cooking your food to the bottom of the pot. Just slide your fork into the lid, and it will suspend the fork 1 inch from the bottom of the pot. Leave it there to fry for a couple of minutes. You cannot use the cut-out lid with the ceramic insert, by the way, as it is often pictured. The lid would slide off. It's for suspending food in oil.Now for my complaint: This fondue pot comes with a standard, poorly-designed Sterno holder and no provision for using other fuel sources. Sterno is expensive, and, unless you are camping, it is inconvenient. For the price of 90 minutes worth of Sterno, you can buy a quart of denatured alcohol that will be good for about 20 pots of fondue. You can easily use a fondue burner that will take liquid alcohol with this pot. Just be sure to get one that takes liquid fuel, not only gel fuel. Swissmar makes a fondue burner for use with both liquid and gel fuel, for example. Trudeau's burner will only take gel fuel. All-Clad should have provided one like the Swissmar. I don't' appreciate having to buy another accessory, but a fondue burner will save a lot of money and hassle in the long run.The All-Clad fondue pot with ceramic insert is certainly a beautiful, sturdy pot and a worthwhile investment if you do a lot of fondue. It's a shame to confine such a lovely pot to one use, but it does not come with a standard lid for use on the stove. An All-Clad 7 1/2-inch lid might fit it, but I don't have one to try. As a tip, I recommend heating your oil to smoking point or melting your cheese or chocolate in the fondue pot on the stove first. If you reach the desired temperature on the stove, then transfer to the table to maintain temperature, it will save a lot of time.
