This all steel, commercial grade Z rollng, garment rack is the same rack used in garment centers and retail stores all over the world. The rack features 2 hang rails - giving you 10-ft of horizontal hang space. It is made to store 2 rows of shorter garments like suits, blouses, slacks and skirts. The second rail can be placed anywhere along the uprights or can be removed altogether if not needed. It comes with 8" height extensions for addtional vertical hang space. The load capacity is 400 lbs. It comes with 4" non-marring, rubber casters; rubber donut bumpers (to protect your furniture and walls); and 2 wheel brakes for added safety. The rack is 5-ft long with 6-ft high uprights. The base is OSHA approved safety orange. This rack is covered by our "no overload guarantee". The "no overload guarantee" is for a period of 5 years from date of purchase and states that we will replace or repair any rack that bends, sags, breaks or falls when used within the stated weight limitations under normal use conditions.

Good luck with assembly...

Never before have I been compelled to review a product before, but I just finished putting this thing together and I want to review it before my rage settles down.First, the pros: It shipped pretty darn quick and got to me the week after I ordered it. Kudos to Metropolitan Display for a timely delivery. It's strong. I'm a big guy who lifts heavy object for fun, and there was only a slight bend in the top bar when I put most of my 300+ lbs. on it. Although I haven't gotten any clothes on here, yet, this WILL hold all of my and my wife's dress clothes, and then some. The secondary rack is perfect for hanging pants. I would suggest some really good hangers, though, if you have heavy clothes. This thing is made of freaking METAL! As I opened the box, I heard some soft clanging. Now that it's assembled, I know this'll last a good long while provided I don't get this wet or anything. It's big. It's very big. The base sits about 5 feet 3 inches wide and stands at about 5 ft 10 inches tall. That should be able to handle most winter coats and dresses. Just make sure that you have plenty of space to maneuver it.Now, the cons: It's heavy. Remember when I said that this is made of metal? Like I said, I lift heavy objects, and this was kinda heavy even by my standards. Those with back issues or other reasons not to lift heavy objects beware. The package is long but only 10 inches wide, so be careful, non-heavy lifters. Even though it says it's just 39 lbs., it'll still be awkward for some and feel heavier than that. It's big. I know I said this is a pro, and it is, unless you live in an apartment or small town home like I do. I'm going to have to carve out some more space in my basement to find a place for this. Some assembly required. Well of course you have to put this together, but dear God almighty they could've at least given us a clue on how to put it together. I believe an instruction manual would be nice to have, but like a few others have said, IT'S NOT FREAKING IN HERE!!! Seriously, I'm good at figuring out how to put things together, but it took me a good hour to assemble it when the simple inclusion of an instruction manual would've cut that time and frustration down to about 20 minutes. My only clue was the picture of the rack here on Amazon. Seriously? I feel for those who don't have the skills to put together something without instructions. I had to backtrack several times just getting the base together. This is the main source of my rage and 3 star rating. Design flaw! This isn't too serious, but watch out for the base. The poles simply slide into the holes of the base, and nothing else. All you have to do is lift, and the poles come right off. There is no screw, bolt, or other device to keep the poles in the hole other than gravity and the weight of the clothes. Like I said, not too serious, but can catch someone off guard if unaware. Tool provision fail. An Alan wrench and a 19 mm single wrench are provided, but the guy in charge of providing the instruction manual was also apparently in charge of providing the 17 mm wrench needed for the mid-bar support. Thank God I had my own, or I'd only have one bar instead of two. If you only wanted one bar in the first place, then get Z Garment Rack Commercial Grade instead and save yourself the trouble. It's the same as this, but without the mid-bar action. I went for this one because I wanted the option.Conclusion: Most of the cons involve the initial set-up and the failure to package the product properly with the required tools and manuals. There's also no indication anywhere on the rack that depicts the name of the company that made it, which is Garment Racks Etc. Put your name on your product unless you KNOW you're in the wrong. Anyway, if you get past all that, this seems to be a great product. Like I said, I just got it assembled so time will tell the rest, but I have a feeling that if anything goes south with it, the customer service from Garment Racks Etc may be...problematic. Here's to hoping.

great rack

i have a number of these racks. they are heavy duty and very well made. i have never overloaded mine and find that as long as there is room on the rack for a hanger, the rack will support the weight. my only problem with the rack is that it is difficult for me to reach the top rack. i think, however that this problem stems from the fact that i am vertically challenged rather that a rack issue.

Best Rack Ever

Sturdy, practical, space saver, priced right... I would recommend this rack to anyone who is looking for the perfect rack. You cannot find this out there - I am glad aI bought it and have no regrets. I was skeptical when I bought it but I took a chance - I cannot think of any cons. Take my word, I am hard to satify. This is one of those things that you buy and think it is one of the best buys you have done in your life.
