Rocktron Hypnotic Flange Guitar Effects Pedal Product Description:

  • Features Low Frequency Ocillator
  • Total Parameter Control
  • Stereo Or Mono Outputs
  • Metal Chassis

Product Description

The ultra-cool “hypnotic mode” actually becomes a random low frequency oscillator! This random mode dances anywhere from an arpeggio sound to a randomized chorus sound.Trust us, you have never heard a flanger quite like the Hypnotic. We surprised even ourselves with this stomp box! The Rate control sets the speed of the modulation, while Depth controls the intensity of the modulation. The Manual control changes the modulation delay time. Feedback control varies the regeneration of the modulated output. Trance randomizes the low frequency oscillator providing that great sonic twist we’re raving about! An FX/Level control is also provided, along with single input, mono/stereo output. The Hypnotic Flange is built into Rocktron’s heavy duty chassis and equipped with our easy-access battery compartment that makes changing batteries during a gig a breeze. Flanger pedals usually sound better when placed after distortion in the signal chain. If using multiple pedal such as delays and other modulation effects, try the Hypnotic Flange in different parts of the signal chain until you find the sound you like best. For more information about the Hypnotic Flange, check the instruction manual located in the manual library which is found in the SUPPORT section of our website.

4Versatile flange
By bookworm
This has been a great addition to my rig. It has a slightly more subtle effect than an mxr, but I actually like it. Lots of versatility here, and the stereo output is very nice since I sometimes run two amps simultaneously. Nice solid construction, but it will take up quite a bit of space. While not true bypass, it seems to let my tone through intact. The hypnotic mode offers some interesting sounds, but I prefer the "normal" flange tone. If you need a flanger and want to pay less and get plenty, I think you would be on the right track with this pedal.

Rocktron Zombie Rectified Distortion Effect Pedal Product Description:

  • Recto Style Distortion
  • 3D Imaging
  • Full Parameter Control
  • Metal Chassis

Product Description

You'll swear your sound gets right up and walks out of your cabinet! With an absolutely monstrously heavy sound, the Zombie creates a rectified asymmetric distortion with user control of the symmetry balance of the distortion output waveform. In essence, this creates the psycho-acoustic 3D sound positioning effect that will make your sound jump out of the cab.The Zombie gives you distortion that cuts through the mix, plus two bands of EQ. A control called STARE adjusts the symmetry of the distortion. Turning the control clockwise increases the symmetry offset of the distortion waveform, while counter-clockwise decreases the asymmetry of the distortion. The SCREAM control adjusts the rectified distortion. Use the LOUDER control to adjust the overall output of the Zombie pedal. BASS control adjusts the bass frequencies and TREBLE control adjusts the overall treble frequencies. The ON LED will light when the Zombie is active. The Zombie is a great choice when used with an ALL TUBE guitar amplifier to deliver rectified distortion. It can take a plain sounding TUBE amp and produce rectified distortion that rivals the sound of the most expensive amplifiers in this class. This monstrously heavy sound will cut through the mix and deliver amazing tone! The Zombie features Rocktron’s easy-access battery compartment to make changing batteries during a gig a breeze. For more info on the Zombie, check the manual located in the “manual library” of the SUPPORT section of our website.

4Tricky little bugger
By Mojo Master
I use this pedal on lead boost for STP's "CrackerMan", and on Collective Soul's "Let's Gel". It yields a high gain, rectified tone. It gets very noisy if you stop playing the guitar and will easily get you into a feedback loop, so stomping in and out of your lead required precision. As others have pointed out, its a tricky pedal to dial in what you are looking for as the controls are not intuitive. I think for the price and knowing how and where and when to use this pedal it can make a good addition to the lead guitarist's pedal board. I have several lead boosts on my board, and this one gets used in our band's sets. I use several different tube amps and it does the job on all of them in terms of creating screamy rectified distortion. One problem that I am having is taming this thing between practice and gig situations. Again, much tweaking is required to get the tone you are looking for.

4..dislocating... progressive 90's distortion...
By JColez
It's simple - I play hard/heavy rock/blues, and I need a lot of gain to solo (it's my favorite thing to do).. This pedal gets me there - to an extent. Plug it in, turn it up and it will dislocate your head (if that's even possible). I've got a 15 watt tube amp (Fender). It's so F..in loud on my 2 or 3 volume setting.. Blazin', tear-your-walls-down loud!! Of course, I use the clean channel and am playing in front of my amp.The other reviews on this are acurrate. The "Stare" control in my minds-eye is a sort-of midrange setting which gives you tone and fullness. This knob means everything to this pedal. If you turn the Stare down then it goes more scooped. Me.. I prefer mid-range and have my "stare" knob turned all the way up. The Loudness setting is a volume boost setting and the Scream setting is a presence/sustain type setting. I prefer the following Zombie settings: Louder 6, Treble 4, Bass, 10, Stare 10, Scream 10. Distortion... It's a thing of sonic-beauty - if I could come back to life after death, I'd like to be in form of rectified disortion.. (and a few other things). Like other reviewers, this pedal gets 4 solid stars here, however, I wish the pedal had a midrange knob and more bass response. Guitar is a mid-range instrument people! (and a big reason why I don't care for scooped tone i.e. thrash/death metal etc.) However, if you play scooped music this will get you there too, but more for Metallica-ish tone; If death tone is your thing, I've heard other pedals that do scooped better than this... I really think this pedal would sound great along with your bass player (so thumbs up for recording with it). It just misses a bit of the warmth and bass response that my Tube King (Ibanez) has at lower less ear shattering volume. However, this pedal does nicely at higher volume and the bass picks up. It's so loud though. We older guitarists can't destroy our ears while playing at home, so playing with more tone and control at lower volume is certainly great! Its harder to get good tone at low volume with the Zombie. Another quibble is that when I roll-off my guitar volume, the tone loses character quickly and really starts sounds pedal-ly the more you roll-off. Yuck... I guess that if you want less than heavy over-drive you'll have to adjust the pedal. Solos sound good and fat, and rythym is terrific (high volume). For $79, get you one and it will like it as long as you adjust it right, it gives you a progressive rock sound. Imagine AC/DC/Van Halen brown sound on some steriods, or Dokken/Ratt/Whitesnake etc - ...best way I can describe the Zombie. No regrets here and you'll have none either for $79. If you want even more possibilities you can also reasearch Rocktron's Cyborg Disortion - it has 8 different kinds of distortion with preseting abilities (and an EQ for each), and other cool tricks. AS for the Zombie and it's price - Thumbs up.****UPDATE****I've been messing with my rig, and have found the best way to set this up for my purposes/tone. First, I run my Zombie pedal in front of my Fender SuperChamp on the CLEAN channel - very important. So, this is a tube Fender clean channel (I have my amps bass and treble settings on 9 and 7 respectively). The Zombie instructions tell you use on a "full tube" amp, and you should do this. I tried, just for kix, to run this through channel 2 with all the rock voicing/distoritions on my AMP; this pedal sucks added to my other distortions as a supplement. Also, not nearly as loud. I also run my clean volume up to at least level 5-7. This way I'm pushing more power through my tube, yet I don't have to play soo damn loud. The result is a very tonal distorition. I've adjusted ZOMBIE to a 2 Louder setting, 10 Bass setting, 4 treble, 7 STARE, and 8 Scream. If you want to rip your face off, just turn the "Louder" setting up on the pedal from 2 to about 4 and its unreal how loud and full. I run my SuperChamp XD to a Jet City 1 X 12 cab (with Eminence); also, my Fender internal speaker is disconnected. I've also discovered if you're careful rolling off your guitar volume knob it sounds ok, but not great (doesn't suck as I mentioned before). I should note that my combo amp channel 2 is all modeled light-to heavy disotortion, and if you have an all tube amp this pedal will likely sound good on either channel. Get this and adjust it to your liking! Try my Zombie settings on your clean tube head/combo. I also use some delay. It all sounds really good.

3It's unique, it's useful, and it's unbad.
By Shawn Elliott
When I found out Leatherman makes a tool with locking pliers, I had to have one. So I bought one. Impressions follow:1. Usually things are larger than I expect, but this one was smaller than I expected. Maybe it's just the fact that I've used big, bulky Vise-Grips all my life, but I really expected this tool to be hefty. It's not bad that it's small, and the plier jaws open nice and wide despite their small size, but I'm nonetheless surprised that it's no bigger than my Wave, even when open.2. It's not as hard to prepare for use as I had expected. Yes, you have to unfold the plier jaws, and yes, you have to clip the handle into place on the jaws; but, considering that with ANY locking plier you will have to stand there and adjust the force screw until the jaws clamp down with just the right amount of force anyway, the extra "assembly" needed to use the pliers isn't significant.3. The craftsmanship isn't as good as I expected. Everything is plenty strong, but the fit and finish isn't up to par with the newer, "post-Wave" tools. The plier jaws aren't the exact same width, the folding tool lock is hard to push and doesn't give a lot of feedback, the folding tools themselves flop around a bit, the hinge on the jaws is just a little too tight, the folded-sheet-metal handle is just a tiny bit too wide for the stuff it holds and so it got crimped a little when the rivets were driven into place, etc. It's not crappy by any means, but it doesn't have that laser-cut, precision-machined feel that my Wave has.Three stars for doing what it says it does without having any noticeable weaknesses. If they improved the design spec so everything fits just right, it would get four stars. If it were the tool of my dreams with everything I want and nothing I don't, it would get five.-- UPDATE 5/15/2008 --I've had my Crunch now for several months, and I feel compelled to bump my review up a notch. Why? Well, it isn't because I've come to appreciate the not-quite-perfect fit and finish of the tool -- that still bugs me a little bit. Rather, it's because over the past few months I've discovered that the Crunch is THE most useful multi-tool ever created.I took a gamble when I bought my Crunch, because I had serious doubts about how useful a mini-size lockjaw plier could be, even when combined with a token assortment of tools. All I can say is, "boy was I wrong". If anything, the small size of the lockjaws make them even more useful than full-size Vise-Grips, because they can be used in so many more places than Vise-Grips can. Also, given that multi-tools tend to have crappy leverage compared to full-size pliers, the ability to clamp the lockjaws onto something and then focus all your attention on moving the thing instead of keeping the jaws from slipping is unspeakably convenient.I was initially concerned by the relatively small selection of fold-out tools that the Crunch has, compared to other multi-tools...but to be honest, most other multi-tools just have 50 slightly-different sizes of flathead screwdrivers anyway, when all you'll ever need is one. Well, the Crunch has three, two of which are combined with a can opener and a metal file, which means that there's really only one flathead screwdriver worth mentioning. So there's no unnecessary duplicity there. Meanwhile, the knife and the crosshead screwdriver are predictably indispensable, and the metal file is handy from time to time. So all told, the tools that the Crunch has are more than adequate. My complaints about the fit-and-finish of the Crunch still stand; Leatherman could do a better job of making everything fit together just right, and I wish they'd put in the time to do so. But that said, the Crunch is definitely THE Leatherman to buy if you're actually going to use it for real work.

5If you can only carry one....
By Cole Seaborn
If you can only carry one tool with you, the Leatherman Crunch would have to be first choice. Shortly after I received mine for Christmas one year (from my kids), we were traveling across northern Arizona. It was Friday afternoon, we were at least 100 miles from any measureable civilization and one of the front brake calipers came loose. It made a lot of noise as it banged against the front wheel. We pulled over and the Crunch was invaluable to re-attach the caliper as the bolts that attached the caliper were a proprietary bolt with a large Torx type head that was rounded on the outside. No other tool (other that the dedicated GM tool) would have been able to grip the rounded outside of this bolt. Five stars isn't really enough!!!

5ROBUST Design HEAVY!!
By Sawdust Monkey
The price is great compared to the Delta tennoning jig it is less expensive BUT it is far better quality.I looked at the Delta tennoning jig but it was surprisingly substandard to what I expect from Delta. Too bad. This Jet model is awesome all of the design is strong, literally! The design allows for large movements of head then locks down for the micro adjustments. All axis adjustment and the miter bar can be mounted in two places for even greater lateral adjustment. Two grips and three mounting locations allow for ease of movement regardless of angle of tennon.Look forward to many years of service from this design.Way to go Jet!Thanks for great job.

2Somewhat Disappointed
By John R. Caywood
After compairing user reviews for Delta, Grizzley, and the JET, the Jet was an easy choice. It arrived in a timely manner without any shipping damage. During assembly and adjustment things began to get pear shaped. The silver vertical fence that holds the work piece at 90 degrees to the table and adjusts for beveling had a large burr in the upper edge. I'm glad I noticed this before gouging a project piece. I filed the burr off. My table saw is left tilting (Rigid 3650) so I had to move the bar that runs in the miter slot to the left side of the jig. This was no problem, however, neither the fence position scale nor the stop screw that prevents the jig from being able to hit the saw blade are functional. I don't understand this unless the 3650 is markedly different then other table saws? The main problem came when I tried to use the quick release function. When I loosened the small lock lever to release the guide bushing, it was frozen in the housing (no quick release). After disassembly I discovered that the lower tapered bushing that locks / releases the guide bushing had burrs on it. I filed the burrs off, lubed up everything real good but still no cigar. The problem was that the lower bushing was cocking in it's bore and not unlocking the guide bushing. I have been able to work around this defect by pushing down on the small lock lever after loosing it. This action pops the bushing free and enables 'quick release'. Using this tool to make tenons seems to work fine, but, for all the hassle I should have bought the Grizzley for sixty bucks.

4Very good quality
By E. Weber
This tenoning jig is very robust and easy to use.Assembly was easy and relatively quick. Fine adjustment were not difficult to obtain. The bottom of the jib was perfectly flat and didn't contain any burr (I had a bad experience with a Delta tenoning jig which scratched the surface of my table saw).On the down side, the instruction manual could have been more detail. The jig came heavly coated with grease which was a real pain to remove. The cursor is a little useless for fine adjustment.

5This one is a blast
By Stephanie H Silvers
My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves these pets, they go with us everywhere. I saw this toy and knew she had to have it. It comes with an adorable mouse an dog. It has a slide with the magnet so two of their pets can slide, a merry go round, a race with a tunnel, also a wind up carousel(which is great because it requires no batteries). It has plenty of room for all of your childs pets to have a great time. It snaps together very easily and is built very well. The colors are gorgeous as always. If your child loves these pets this one is a must.

5The coolest toy ever - and durable, too!:)
By A Customer
Hi, I've collected these toys since early this year.I turned 12 in August, and this toy was the only thing I would like. And I got it! And this is the only toy I play with, it's also good for space, too. I do have the playhouse, the salon and the doggie caffe, but I have so many pets, that's not enough space! So when I got this toy, I was very pleased because there's so much space! I love the pets too, because they're the right size to put in your bag and your pockets.I don't think this is just a playground, I use it as a house for my pets. Whenever my friend and her 6-year-old sister come around, well, my friend isn't a problem, but her sister is, she brakes everything, but with this toy, nothing brakes at all!!! Not even the pets heads come off!!!All the pets can have a race, and you can choose who will win.The pets can have a snack in the caffe, and then they can go down the slide - weeeee!!!!!Then, I agree with another kid, this is my favorite too, you can put four pets on the treehouse, then wind up the round-about, put another pet in the middle of the treehouse, then around they go! Then , while they're up there, they can get a cool view of the sunset, and they can take a nap under the stars! This cute set comes with:The playground, of course.A food dish! Some flags for the race!A cozy bed!Cute sun glasses!A SUPER CUTE puppy!!!!!AND AN EXTRA CUTE MOUSE!!!!!I love this set, and I hope that you will too - I recommend this playset to anybody.

5My 4 yr old loves it!
By Florida Gurl at Heart
My daughter is known in our family for her strong affinity for puppies and kitties. She prefers to play with any animal-related toy over baby dolls, Polly Pockets, and Barbie-style dolls. I was absolutely THRILLED when Hasbro (re)introduced them this year (I think the now-defunct Kenner used to make them). They were a much bigger hit with my daughter than the My Little Ponies, mainly because of the variety of animals. She literally spends HOURS playing with this set, and all of her little animals. We recently moved, and then had to evacute TWICE due to hurricanes, and every time, I made sure that we had this set packed for her to play with at our destinations. This playground is a much more successful design than the Celebration Castle for the ponies (which was huge and never stayed put together). This has different zones of play (merry-go-round, wind-up swings, slides, etc) and both was easy to put together, and hasn't broken/or fallen apart. It doesn't require batteries. My only complaint (and this would apply to most toys in this style, ie trains, dollhouses, etc) is that they are big(ish) and take up space. I have set up a table in my daughter's room and she leaves this out all the time. It is easy to disassemble and store (but much easier to play with when it's out). I would highly recommend purchasing a bin (or two, or three!) to store all the animals, accessories and other sets in, as they have lots of little bits and pieces. I found this set to be the most used and enjoyed set out of all of the Littlest Pet Shop "buildings". I would recommend purchasing additional pets- usually the set only comes with a few, possibly just one depending on the retailer. I consider this to be my first choice toy for Nana to have at her house when my daughter goes to visit. If your child is an animal freak, I can't recommend this enough. I chose to rate this a "3" on educational value, because there's no reading, memorization, arithmetic, etc. This is strictly pretend play at it's best. Thanks for reading my review.

3BUYER BEWARE
By Bob
This thermosotat may be very well suited for Radiators and other convective heating units that offer rapid heating BUT it was NOT designed for and is INEFFECTIVE for use with UNDER-Floor Heating Mats(As Amazon suggests and shows being purchased WTIH . .) Honeywell offers a similar unit - TH115-AF-GA/u - The operative letter being "F" for floor sensing. Yes, the unit will send power and warm the floor(as will a light/dimmer switch) albeit far less efficiently than the AF models. So, just becasue OTHERS have bought the unit with a Floor heat system does not mean YOU should. Besides, there is REALLY no point in ordering the EXTRA Floor SENSOR if TH115-A 240 has NO floor sensing capability.

5Nice thermostat
By David Harper
This is a very nice thermostat for baseboard heaters. It is easy to program, much easier than many programmable thermostats. It is quiet and works very well. The display is quite clear and large enough to be easily readable. Very good backlight. I particularly like the fact that it has dedicated buttons for various functions rather than needing to go through extensive menus involving multiple button presses to find a function. Definitely a product I would buy again if I needed a programmable thermostat.

5More than I need but worth every penny!
By William S. Laskorski
I had a couple of the older Honeywell programmables for a two zone hot water baseboard system and they worked quite well. Since I moved into this new house I found out I couldn't use them on 240v electric baseboard heaters. Luckily, I just recently found these. The first thing I love about them is, unlike the older ones I had, they are a vertical format that perfectly fits the utility boxes. They also look good! They have more features than I really need and the overall cost for 5 units - I have 3 now and will be ordering 2 more next month - is more than I'd like to pay but being they are electronic and react much faster than the old dial control bimetal coil mercury tilt switch pieces of junk that were originally installed AND are programmable, hence worry free, they should pay for themselves by significantly reducing my heating costs this winter. The simple 4 wire installation was a snap - having spent 22 years as an electrical technician helped a lot - and it took only 5 minutes to swap in each unit. A quick test proves that they operate well. There is a relay click which will be noticeable late at night but I don't think it will trouble me much. This house is pretty well insulated so I doubt it will happen often enough to become a bother. Another neat feature is an `Early Start' option, available via dip switch that ensures the house will be warm for you by the time you get out of bed. There is also a nonvolatile memory that keeps your program settings safe in case of a power failure (no batteries needed). I'll sum up by saying that the convenience, increased efficiency, and general good looks make these thermostats a worthwhile investment.
