Pride of my collection

This product has definitely earned it's stars, I only just opened it this morning and it's beautiful. The handle is magnificently detailed and is completely solid. There is nothing like the way it's partially 24-K golden plaited handle catches the light. The blade came sharp and sits very nicely upon the plaque that it came with and was several days earlier than predicted. This sword is the pride of my collection and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has a collection of their own. This has earned more than five star but five is all that I'm permitted.

Arbor Review

The arbor was delivered on the date promised with no damage. Assembly was easy. The anchors supplied fit over the legs in four corners and if they had to be hammered into the ground this may be a problem as one side of the suport would be in line with the frame no matter how it was positioned. They were also finished in a color differant from the arbor, we had to paint them to blend better. To prevent the possibility of corrosion, I built a frame for two footings and posistioned the arbor with the anchors in place and poured the footing. It came out fine as the arbor is level and straight on all corners. Time will tell if the zinc coating on the arbor will extend it's life. We were very satisfied with the final results.

What can I say about a great hitch. This thing is a work of art no wasted extra pieces on this part. Just what is need to get the job done. I ordered this hitch because it looked like a piece of art. Really there is not any extra weight and other crap attached to it. They shipped it in two days for free. I was really shocked that it arrived so fast. When I saw it I was pleased to see that it was exactly like it looked in the pictures. I installed it that day and was really impressed. I looked at the parts diagram and checked the pieces they were all there. It took me about a hour to install it from start to finish. One thing that was a little off was the bolt hole distance between the frame rails. Not a big problem you just needed to allow some slack with the bolts on both sides. Another thing The shippers were not careful with this part.The box that it was shipped in was really beat up. Enough that a little paint was chipped off on the corners. Otherwise the paint was great. Never seen a hitch painted this good. I will tell my buddies about this great hitch.

Great hitch

Overall very impressed. I would never have thought to order a hitch from Amazon, but the next hitch I buy will also be from Amazon, the tool to pick the right hitch worked perfectly and helped easy my fear of getting the wrong hitch. This was $30 cheaper than the local farm store for the exact same hitch, and far easier. Paid for overnight shipping (3.99 for prime members!) and it came the next day despite saying it takes 1-2 days to process. As with the other review, the box it comes it seems a little weak for what it is, as the hitch did poke through the box, but as it's a very solid hitch, it was not damaged at all, didn't even notice a scratch on it, I wouldn't be too worried if the box looks damaged. Additionally I did find the bolt distance to be off as well, however that was not a big problem, it does fit.Probably the biggest issue was that I needed to make a trip to the store to get the correct bolts, because the holes were threaded on my van, so they either had to be drilled out, or the correct bolts purchased. They must not all be this way, but I'd suggest checking if the holes are threaded so you don't need to make another trip if you don't have a way to drill them out.

Good heavy item

Hitch is good. Only had one problem. I thought I had received the wrong item because it was to narrow to fit over both sides of frame. I used a rubber mallet to make the two ends a little wider. After doing this it fit just fine. Curt or the seller may want to include an installation note explaining what to do if it will not slide onto the frame. Don't hammer to hard or you will widen the ends to much creating a new problem.All that aside I am very please with this product.

Just Installed It

I just finished installing this hitch on my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. I'm using this in conjunction with the Pro-Series Htext carrier for my paddle board. The installation was simple and only took about an hour and two beers. I could have done it faster if I had ignored the directions and just used some common sense. You don't have to remove your bumper, just loosen it. Also, it can be done with one person, but you have to get creative and be a little flexible. I used both hands and both legs to move the loose bumper and hitch around in order to get the screws to fit in properly. It seems to fit in perfectly. The only issue is the hitch was busting out of the box when it was delivered. The package looked like someone threw it down a flight of stairs, drove it to a hilltop, threw it off a cliff, went to the bottom and then drove over it a couple times. I saw some other reviews on other websites about this same issue. It seems the manufacturer has also picked up on this because they carefully taped everything you need to the hitch. The hitch itself is solid and somehow ended up unscathed through the delivery. It could have shown up without the box and it would have still been fine.

Great product. Bad packaging.

Heavy-duty construction makes this a good choice and a solid value. The installation instructions were good. If I were to do the installation again, I'd try to have a second person with me to lend a hand as the unit is fairly heavy and positioning it can be awkward. I would have given five stars but the packaging (apparently from the factory)was absurd. They merely placed the unit in a cardboard box somewhat bigger than the unit and then glued the box ends. No packing material....none. The unit banged around in the box during shipment and arrived protruding through the box. I was surprised that UPS delivered it in that condition. Fortunately, it was not damaged.

Fit and function perfect!

I installed this hitch on my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Everything about it is quality. This is an exact copy of the Jeep OEM receiver but it drops down a few inches to clear the plastic bumper facia. No cutting the bumper, no plastic bezel dress piece, and over $100+ cheaper. Honestly, I think it looks better than the factory cut-out tow package. You don't see the ugly spare tire. You're only talking about two inches lower, if that. The instructions were straightforward and it installed without a 'hitch'....ha ha. I put my hitch mounted motorcycle hauler on the receiver and took my dirt bike out to the desert without a problem. Just make sure you torque each bolt down to the 75 ft/lbs per the instructions.

I was looking for a hitch for my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It did not come with a factory hitch and I did not want to cut into my back bumper for the OEM hitch. This hitch was perfect!!!! Drop's down just below the bumper and took maybe 15 minutes to install. Would recomment and it's half the price of anything else I found.

Curt Mfg makes a quality product!

I gave this product an easy 5 stars. The finish on the receiver looks like the picture, very glossy and smooth. The installation of this item took about 40 minutes from start to finish. All of the necessary hardware was included and the directions were very clear on what was required to prep the Jeep for install. I installed this item on my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado 4x4. I found getting this item was easier than trying to buy a factory hitch and have to cut the bumper and get the trim rings. Also, it appears that this has more tongue weight than factory so that's something to consider when thinking about the items you might be hauling.The other 'pro' of this item for me is the fact that it doesn't look bolted on, and it doesn't look cheap. I'm sure many people out there will think that it is 100% factory which is what I love the most.Cliff Notes:- Easy Install- Great looking finish- Looks totally factory.I HIGHLY recommend this!

Great product

It took my friend and me ten minutes to stick this on the back of my 2011 Armada. I used this with a cargo carrier and some bungees to travel across the united states. Didn't have one issue. This saved me over $200 compared to what the dealer wanted to charge. Very easy to install. Take off a piece of plastic and get a bolt on each side started while someone else holds it in place. I would highly recommend this product.

Great tool, very practical, and a cinch to use!

While the rest of the world operates in metric, we're still primarily using the old imperial system of measurement here in the United States. But more and more we're seeing metric equivalents: Length (5K marathon), volume (2 liters of soda), weight (40 grams of fat), and temperature (37 degrees Celsius).Having grown up learning the english system, it's difficult to try to remember all of the conversion factors, especially since we've not made a national dedicated switch and both forms continue to be used arbitrarily.Sure, a 2 liter bottle of soda is an easy one, but what about centimeters? I can visualize an inch...so how many centimeters are in an inch? 2.54! And what about a 5K race? How many miles is that? Well, exactly 3.106855961 says my 1-Step Conversion Calculator.What's so fantastic about the calculator is how simple it is to use: The buttons are color coded, individually marked, and well layed out. Conversions are made with the push of only 3 buttons! For example, remember that 5K race we wanted to convert to miles? Press 5, press KM, press MI. That's it and your answer is displayed! Another great feature is the ability to convert 2 variables within the same measurement form. For instance, you can convert cups to gallons. This makes the calculator great for cooking, especially when you want to cut a recipe in half. I gave one to my friend who works at the zoo and has to prepare diets, weigh animals, and dispense medication all in metric. She loves it!I work in an industry where specification callouts are about 50% metric. Even though you tend to memorize a conversion factor, the going back and forth from metric to english and english to metric can be confusing. Even worse, a single product is marked by the manufacturer with both forms (360 threads per INCH and a 76 MICRON thread diameter)! Reliability is a problem

This is a really great calculator while it works. They are an extremely handy if you have to make conversions from English to metric or vice versa. As a field scientist, I need a durable calculator and have purchased five of these for my self and my staff with mixed success. Two have lasted over a year, although one of them stopped working after about two and a half years of use. The other three did not last a year. For some reason the display begins to fail with all of the calculators I have had problems. I'm currently looking for something very similar to this calculator that will last longer. Although they are very handy, their unreliability makes them a poor investment.

The best conversion calculator I've found

I had a boss that was using one of these guys years ago and final had reason to look for one on my own. As soon as I saw the picture I knew this was the guy. It is a large device, but has everything you need. I use this for outdoor field research, so it is great for converting areas from metric to standard. Can go quickly from oz/acre to ml/hectare.
