Product Description

Westin Platinum Series Step Bars are 3" diameter bars made from 304 stainless steel tubing. These step bars feature a step area recessed with a UV-resistant molded polymer step pad that do not crack or fade even under worst conditions. Instead of cutting a hole for the step pad, the step bars tubing is recessed. A recessed area, rather than a cut-out hole, prevents interior corrosion for long life without rust. Looked at a number of different sources and Amazon proved to be the best source. Had Westin products on previous vehicles and am totally impressed with quality and ease of installation. Quality is above GM products for the same application.

repeat buyer

I purchased this exact set of Westin step bars, item 26-1680, in 2007 for my Chevy Silverado extended cab and loved them so much that when I traded the truck and got a new 2012 I bought the same ones again. The old ones still looked great after 5 years of neglect. And I can't imagine the install being any simpler (remove 3 bolts, re-bolt loosely with 3 brackets in place, loosely bolt the step bar to the 3 brackets, align and then tighten everything... repeat on other side). Their only shortcoming is that, despite the premium price, they are imported and are NOT made in the USA. Too bad!

bent bumper

Daughter backed into my mother inlaws car and damaged the bumper on my truck. I bought her new this new bumper for xmas. Went on pretty easy, she did all the work herself except I had to drill a set of extra holes in the bumper to get the bumper brackets match up with the bumper. No big deal, used H.F. cone drill bit, went right through. She wired in the plate lights with no problem. I wonder if she will watch where she is backing next time??????? I won't hold my breath)-:

1983 Nissan King Cab Back Bumper Replacement

The bumper is exactly what I wanted, I had bought an after market bumper for my 1983 Nissan King Cab back in 1985 so that I could pull my Sea-Doo trailer. I just painted the truck and wanted a new back bumper, this one bolted right up. It have the rubber top that is nice and is functional like the old bumper.

rear step bumper

The 1998 Nissan chrome rear step bumper is a nice looking bumper, however, its listed as a universal fit. I have been a bodyman for 52 years and this one was a challenge because the brackets were wider than the Nissan bumper braces,the holes had to be drilled in a different location and painted with rust encapsulator, then spacers had to be made to position the bumper correctly, also longer bolts were needed. A novice would have real difficulty in fitting this item to a Nissan.

Nice for the price

* Warning * This bumper does not come with a mounting kit. Under product features has "Includes mounting kit for easy installation", this is not accurate and I have notified Amazon to correct this. You have to buy a rear bumper mounting kit separately for your truck. The bumper comes with tag lights with wiring and tag screws. With the appropriate bumper mounting kit it doesn't take long to install and I put it on by myself. I used a lot of my old bumper bolts to mount this new bumper to my truck, because the new bolts would not go through my truck's frame and I didn't feel like drilling the holes out to accommodate the new bolts. I've had it on my 92 GMC Sonoma for a while now and it is a nice looking bumper.

Great Product at a great price

Bought this product along with the Westin 93500 Universal rear bumper mount kit for my Toyota 4x4 pickup. With these two products you get all the required hardware; new mounting bolts, License plate lights, License plate mounts and screws.The instructions were simple and made the installation a fast one person job.To make the bumper last longer I sprayed the inside of the bumper with car under coat.I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to replace a rusty bumber on a late model Toyota pickup.

Excellent Mando!

I have played guitar for years and wanted to try a new instrument and thought I would give this a try. With that being said, I did not want to spend alot of money on something I might not like, but at the same time, I wanted to give myself every opportunity to enjoy and continue to play the mando. I believe there is a fine line between quality, ease of play, and sound.I had tried about 14-15 different mandos from $100.00 to $800.00 dollars to compare the differences. I know from my earlier experiances with acoustic guitars that there can be huge differences between makes and models, heck, there are even differences between the same model. The action on this mando is incredible, very easy to play and has great sound. I have very calloused finger tips from playing the acoustic guitar and found a majority of mandos hard to play after a short period of time, this one however is a treat. I do not think there is any advantage to an "f" style mando over an "a" style mando other than looks, but this is one fine looking instrument! I am very happy with this mando and would recommend it strongly. My guitars have been sitting idle since this purchase! It is going to take one heck of a mando for me to upgrade.

Select or solid?

I was recently given the opportunity to play a left handed OM40 mandolin by one of my students. I have to admit I had not heard of this manufacturer before this occasion, it is not common in the UK. If it were about looks and finish then I would give the OM40 a 5 star rating, but upon closer inspection I noticed what is described as a select spruce front is in fact a laminated select spruce front not a solid select spruce front. As such the mandolin played quietly with an unresponsive thin sound which was disappointing given the good overall finish. The price does seem to reflect the quality of the instrument which I would recommend to a beginner/intermediate level player. Only three stars because of the poor sound. I should give an extra star to the manufacturer for actually producing a lefty mandolin but as this review is attached to the standard version I won't. Could pick up an A style with a bigger and better sound for similar price.

Received the Oscar Schmidt Mandolin and very happy with it. Easy to set up and excellent sound. Great looking instrument as well. I recommend the Oscar Schmidt to musicians of all abilities. The price buying through Amazon was unmatched. Received the product in 2 days as promised.

Other than a lack of clear, concise, set-by-step instructions, this hitch now is on my vehicle and works well. Word to the wise, it's not just 4 bolts to put this on. You have to remove rear bumper cover of vehicle before you can put it on with the 4 bolts (provided, of course).

3,500lb only. Class II, not Class III

This is a nice hitch. However, the label on the product says 3,500lbs GTW / 350lbs TW. It's Class II. I need a real Class III (5,000lbs GTW /500lbs TW). The product title is misleading, and there is no detail on the towing capability in the product description. I need to return it. So, if you need a Class III hitch (e.g. Mercedes ML's 5,000lbs GTW), it's not for you.

Perfect and easy to install

I am super happy with mt Curt hitch receiver. Installing it was easy. I used a box cutter blade to carefully cut away the access part of the bumper for a professional looking fit. I'm very happy with the outcome.
