5For Commercial Photographers
By James Becton
Great lighting for home and interior photography. A must for all commercial photographers. Buy several for the economical advertised street price. They can be taped to doors for accent lighting, shot in umbrellas for broad main and fill lighting, stacked in various configurations and pointed in different directions for all simple and complex lighting situations. The color temp. is slightly above 3200 degrees Kelvin.

5A classic design and an indespensible tool for many
By Timothy B. Riley
I have used Lowel products for decades and the Tota-light has been a part of my lighting-toolbox almost from the time I first became a professional photographer (late 1970's). Here are some of my favorite feartures:* Light weight* Well made* Versatile* Extremely bright* Attaches to standard light stand* Built-in umbrella holder* Wide range of accessories available* Low costAs with any high-wattage quartz light care has to be taken to not touch the lamp with your bare fingers when replacing them (oil from your finger will shorten the lamps life) and one should use the optional gel holder in order to avoid burning or melting your filters.I also use several of Lowel's other lights but this one is perfect for a broad light source (I use it with an umbrella), fill light, key light, background light or accent light. Buy one, buy several. You will be glad that you did!

4Nice, but...
By Cooter
This is a nice light, but be warned, it runs HOT.It melted through two gels which were attached to the barn door, caused some smoke and set off a smoke alarm, luckily only in my house rather than on a shoot. It is a good light, but I prefer the omni (bad lamps) or the pro much more though!
