The way jackstands should be designed.

this ism how jackstands should be designed, with a flat base, so it does not dig into vinyl lined or tiled garage floors and/or soft ground.

These are really great jack stands. Very light weight which is a plus but the real advantage of these stands is a) the top of the stand (that part to connects with the car) is almost flat and b) the bottom on the stand (the part on the ground) is also flat and so, take up very little room if you are working in a tight area like around the suspension. These jack stands allow me to get my floor jack into almost the same location as I'm trying to put the jack stand which is exactly what I was looking for. On top of that, they look pretty good just sitting on the shelf when not in use.

Purchased the Torin Aluminum jack stands due to their flat aluminum base. New garage has epoxy coating & I was concerned with sharp edges on my old jack stands cutting into the coating. The flat aluminum bsse should prevent this due to large surface area & no sharp edges.The Torin Aluminum jack stands appear to be well made & functional.
