DETAILS: Designed to sit hidden above the ceiling tiles within the T-bar of a standard suspended ceiling frame, the PP-FCTA allows the installer a myriad of location possibilities for projector mounting. With over 9" of continuous movement, the plate allows for precise placement of a projector. Wingnuts allow for easy movement of the 11/2" pipe coupler for easy relocation without dragging your entire toolbox into the rafters with you. Security screw holds threaded pipe securely in place for added safety. Unique electrical knockouts accept almost any electrical box, offering electricians maximum flexibility when wiring. Sturdy and Inexpensive

This mount is a solid piece of hardware. Professionally packaged with all the necessary hardware. Easy to install instructions for a t-bar ceiling.I did a lot of research and discovered there are many vendors offering seemingly the identical mount (made by Premier Mounts), but at a much higher cost and sometimes are bundled with other projector mounting stuff. My suggestion is buy the appropriate mount kit for your specific projector along with the 1-1/2" NPT pipe that connects the projector to the ceiling mount. You'll come out money ahead (and the big plus: it will actually fit your projector!). In my case I first bought my Optoma TH1060p projector then found the "Optoma Universal Projector Ceiling Mount BM-5001U" and matching 1-1/2" pipe adapter: "Optoma Technology BM-5004A Adjustable Extension Column (6 to 9 Inches)". All the pieces worked together perfectly.

Hands down this is an excellent sturdy product. Easy to install with all the necessary hardware included to securely mount a small to mid size video projector to a drop ceiling. The mount plate is fully adjustable and neatly secures above the ceiling tile with 4 screws. The main slide plate for the drop kit (pole or pipe) comes with lock washers and wing nuts for proper placement, and there's more than enough cable to stabilize the mount to the above rafters to meet code. This mount is built so solid, it can tow a tuck, yet is light enough to do the job it was designed for. Words of advice: This is a ceiling tile mount kit only. Although it built well, it is NOT designed to be used for supporting overly heavy objects (like large flat screens or CRT TVs..etc). Those are items a drop ceiling alone cannot possibly support! Plus, you'll still need to get the proper projector mount kit from your projector's manufacturer! Overall, it's a safe product to use if installed correctly to code, and without cutting corners. This is a great product and easy to install. It works great, I just wish it was a little cheaper. Would buy again if I need to.
