Cute gnome!

This is a really cute puppet. Beware that it's not very tall. Your hand fits into the upper part of his body only, so you can move his head and arms but not his legs.He's durable; his clunky feet are made of leather, his beard is fuzzy but it doesn't shed, and his clothes are made well. His hat doesn't come off and his legs are permanently bent.I got this puppet just because I like gnomes--it would make a great gift for others who also like gnomes!

Great for Creativity!

I gave this puppet to my 2 year old grandson only to have it appropriated by his 3 year old elder sister who renamed him "Grumpy Wizard." Our boy was initially scared of the slighly grumpy face but soon warmed to him. Our girl has made this character the center of all her puppet play, having him plot (unsuccessfully) against the Prince, Princess, Goat, Sheep, Cat and all the other wonderful Folkmanis puppets the both of them have. The amount of creative fun and active pleasure generated by this line of puppets is simply astonishing! By all means get your kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews some Folkmanis. Way better than passive cartoon watching or canned commercial toy adventures. Folkmanis is a treasure trove for the imagination, motor skills and verbal development. I had a great time too!

As every other Folkmanis puppet, this one is splendid and delicate.I have not yet experienced it with my young students but know for sure; considering what they do with the present ones; that I'll have to carefully put it in the right hand. For information, it is an unhappy if not unpleasant gnome, do not expect to make it look differently. EnjoyClaude
