Air filter recieved quickly and item is as promised. Fairly easy to install. Improves power and fuel mileage without installing the entire intake kit.

Impressive

After I bought my used 2004 F-350/6.0L Powerstroke I examined the stock air filter and dumped out about 2 lbs of dirt from it. I couldn't believe the construction much less the price of a replacement. I installed this filter and was pleased at the immediate performance gain while pulling my camper. Some of it is probably from the lack of the 2 lbs of dirt restriction, but I've since convinced myself, and my wife, the filter is a better solution. Fuel mileage has improved some (it is a F-350, can't expect much). Granted, I was a little concerned when I first read the installation instructions, but I looked close at the construction of the stock filter. I'm frugally obsessed, yet cautious individual when it comes to modifying my vehicles. I deliberated extensively over the price (low - the good) and possibilities (will I buy this and not be happy/tear up my truck - the bad), looked on forums, argued with my brother (hey, we do that anyway), and decided to go for it. It was easier than I expected and it seals very well. My brother agreed it was a good idea, he has an Airaid cold air kit on his F-150 and swears by it. This filter is a good product and if you looked at those instructions like I did the first time and worried that it might be sub-par, don't, this is a quality product. Airaid has figured out a way to give you a quality, inexpensive filter. You don't pay for anything extra like a housing, you use the one you already have. You could probably do the job with a dull pocket knife. I also noticed on the intake end, stamped in the molding, that it takes 7 ounces of oil. I have had other name brand filters like this, and none has gone that far. I will be switching all of my next purchased vehicles to Airaid, instead of the other guys...

Lifetime use product at a fair price. Should increase fuel mileage by 1-2 MPG. Easy to install, took 15 minutes.
