2as said before good enough
By infamous kid
i have it hooked up to my 225 RMS JBL amp, thou it has power, is quite accurate and can go really loud with the right playback material ("A Milli" bumps hard), sounds noticable too raw, muddy and not musical. Do not expect warm, deep, clean bass that even your budget 50-watt RMS home theater sub delivers. Bazooka is more thump-y (OR "thud-y", like a falling tree log). Bass in Beyonce's "Diva" also hits hard, loud and "somehow tight" but thats about all this sub can deliver - a one note wonder. Other bass notes are quieter or just resonate randomly. Drum n Bass and Dubstep sounds barely OK, somehow powerful but definitely lacks dynamics, definition and "life". Overall... It is not a junk but the second i hooked it up i knew it was not what i wanted, tweaking amp did not help much. This tube IS NOT OK for the money, if i knew how it performs beforehand i wouldnt pay more than 50$ for the whole thing just because it is better then nothing at all. Would have rather bought some seperate better brand sub i.e. 10" SSA DCON with separate enclosure for about same $$$. And this is what i am going to do as soon as i get some extra funds. For now, i just have to live with this ...something :( Music lovers - stay away, day-by-day radio listeners and soccer moms with Caravans - go get it, it's gonna look fancy in your van.1 star for compact size and looks1 star for efficiency, that's about it...

4Blew it!
By Mr.B
I blew it that is. Sub sounded very good and seemed to break in and sound better over the month I used it. Got it before I knew more about amps and subs, but now I know more. Regardless, I was powering it with a 600 watt RMS Alpine amp wired for 2 ohms, paralleled the dual coils on the sub. Obviously enough for this sub, though apparently too much. Pretty much right when I felt the sub at it's best, which was amazing, the moment was over and all bass was lost. The sub pounded my chest very hard, if I wore contacts I'm certain they would've popped out. I know it would've lasted longer if I listened to pop or hip-hop music, which hits hard in pulses, not continually. I listed to metal, hard-core, etc., and the majority of the time is double-bass constant power output, which from my understanding is generally RMS wattage (average power). With my amp pumping out 600 watts RMS and the speaker coils, from my research, at only 250 watts RMS I failed this sub. I bought it looking at the max wattage not understanding the RMS wattage, which I may still not fully understand. I tend to turn the bass up till the point of failure, which my next sub purchase will have HIGHER wattage ratings than my amp can supply in hopes that it will not fail.

5Works For Me
By Ray
Bazooka BT1024DVC BT Series 10-Inch 4 Ohm Dual Passive TubeThis Bazooka is a step up from using an older Bazooka El 6.5 non amp model. I like how this 10"sized hit bass notes deeper compared to my older 6.5" model. Volume turned up its not going to turn heads. A slight bump outside at most car running at idle. This suits me as I want to hear and feel the bass, not others hear it too. If you want heard staring bass get a box enclosed pair of 12's or 15's. If you like bass that only you can hear and feel then this unit will more than do the job for you. I don't really like to turn it up as I don't want to go deaf. Just enough to hear and feel, enjoy the music.
