This vice really is GREAT; the cam locking works applies very easy & works great, & Ilove the small lips inside the clamping area for when you have to hold your pice very level for drilling & tapping. This is really a total package !!

very fast, sturdy vise

This is an extremely useful vise for doing repetitive hole drilling. With the lever in the vertical position, the vise face can be easily slid up to the work in a very smooth/easy, yet firm fashion. Pulling back on the lever then locks the piece in place. When drilling similarly positioned holes, you can then just push up on the lever, move the piece, then pull back to lock in place again. The only thing I don't especially like about the vice is that there's a sort of step built into each face of the vice, intended to make it possible to hold work parallel to the bottom of the vice. While probably valuable in some cases, I've found this step somewhat inconvenient for some applications, as it can lead some pieces of work being clamped slightly out of vertical. But, with some care, this isn't a serious/consistent problem. Extremely, good quality of construction; a real joy to use.
