This rugged kennel cover adds a protective barrier between the pet-companion and the outdoor elements. Durable and works but is it right?

I added the kennel cover to my dogs kennel a few days ago. The installation was quick and almost full proof until I started to add the tarp to it. The tarp wouldn't fit down over the top of it and was very snug. I checked all of the fittings to see if I didn't over compensate the size on the kennel when putting the tubing together. Everything fit properly and nothing needed adjustment.I have it tied in place for now but the tarp doesn't come all the way down. There is about a one inch gap in the front of the kennel.It works and keeps her dry. But it's not all that I imagined it would be.

It fits well, works great! Sometimes when it rains, the water drains off the side and into the edges of the kennel, but the middle still stays dry which our dogs appreciate!
