The laundry dryer Pegasus 180 has all a mobile drying place needs: with its parallel supporting legs it stands extremely sturdy and steady inside and outside. Its drying length is imposing 59 feet and offers space for almost two loads of laundry. Long laundry items like bath towels or trousers dry on the side foldable wings. As a practical extra the Pegasus 180 offers a laundry pin bag, which can be attached on one of the drying bars with a hook-and-loop fastener. It has the laundry pins always ready for use. A bit too pricey

I usually really like Leifheit products and when the time came to replace our 16-year old laundry stand, I decided to order the Pegasus 180. Here are my comments on this rack, in no particular order:PROs:- Sturdy and well-made.- I like that the legs do not cross as is the case with many other stands. This makes it possible to better hang longer clothes without having those items hit the legs. The Pegasus' legs are nicely out of the way.- The height: The stand feels more comfortable for me to hang clothes because it seems to be a bit taller than other stands. I am 5' 8" and often found that I had to bend uncomfortably over my older, lower stand. Not so here. It also makes it possible to hang longer items. Kudos for that.- The stand comes with sock/small item holders on one side. These are ideal for anything small and light-weight, such as... socks, handkerchiefs, kitchen towels, etc. Like this a lot.- Another useful, and thought-out accessory that is included is a clothes pin bag that attaches to the stand via Velrco. The bag is not too big but definitely comes in handy.CONs:- Not easy to open/fold. To open, the legs at both ends must be pulled outward until they are at a slight, outward angle and click noticeably into position. One can only do that one after the other, and the same is true for folding it up (reverse action). Since this item is quite big, it is not that easy to do, definitely not a one-hand operation.- While the stand is taller than most other stands I know, the "lines" are not as long as on a standard stand. They are only slightly shorter but I definitely noticed the difference. With my old stand, I could always fold up a full size duvet cover once and hang it on the outside "lines", but the Pegasus is too short and that leads to bunching of the cover at both ends.- The wings that fold out also have fewer and shorter lines: Each wing has only 6 lines, my old stand had 8 on each side.SUMMARY:I like the stand OK but in my opinion there is definitely room for improvement. Considering the high price for this, I cannot give it more than 3 stars (3.5 if that were possible) because at 70 dollars, I'd expect perfection, and the Pegasus is just not that flawless. Would buy again for around 50 dollars, but not 70.

A little bit shaky... but okay.

Since we used a Leifheit back home in Germany we choose this one to give it a chance... The P180 was the one wich had the best relation between size and cost... The P200 is a bit bigger and even more expensive... no idea if its less shaky than but I afraid its just the size what makes the diffence.The first dryer arrives just packed in a plastic and of course it was damaged (one leg had a knick). But thats why I always love to order at AMAZON. They sent a new one immediately... and guess what... secound delivery came in a solid packing.Compared to the one we used before in G... this one have more or less the same capacity and an extra for sockets (red terminal strip) - what is actually nice and useful. But the stability if its fully loaded leaves a bit to desired.The quality is good... no pointed or sharp edges and all the plastic parts look durable so far.In coparison to other dryer I saw here... that one is definitely the best choice for us.

Good investment

This is a great way to reduce your electric bill and to conserve resources. It is easy to move around if you want to put it outside or anywhere inside. It will fold up and fit easily in a small space such as next to the washer or in a closet. The wings extend high enough to hold a size 18 neck, 36/37 sleeve mens dress shirt 4 inches off the floor. Invest in the Leifheit hangers Leifheit 81535 Pegasus Accessories Set, they will snap on to the rungs to keep shirts from blowing off the dryer on windy days.
